XREAL just officially unveiled XREAL AURA, previously known as Project Aura 🕶️ These lightweight XR glasses are powered by @Android XR and were developed together with @Google and @Qualcomm. They offer a wide 70-degree field of view while weighing less than 95 grams. The glasses also support hand tracking, 6DoF positioning, multimodal AI, and deep @GeminiApp integration. Millions of existing Android apps will be available through the Play Store, with more than 100 dedicated XR experiences already in development. XREAL AURA is launching this fall, and reservations are now officially open. Really exciting to see what the @XREAL_Global team has been building 👏

Google dropped a recap last week of the top 3 Android developer productivity updates from I/O, and the shift toward agentic development is real. 🚀 1. Android CLI is now Stable (1.0) It now bridges directly with Android Studio via the `studio` command. Plus, Google Antigravity officially supports Android development with a dedicated resources bundle. You can grab it via Homebrew or npm now. 2. More specialised "Android Skills" Grounding LLMs in best practices is crucial. They've expanded the repository to 17+ specialised workflows, including Adaptive UIs, CameraX migration, Perfetto SQL, and Wear OS. 👉 List them with: `android skills list` 3. Android Bench Updates The Android LLM evaluation leaderboard now includes open models like Gemma 4, alongside Gemini 3.5 Flash, testing them against harder, long-running real-world tasks.
