When I was in college, you couldn’t pass freshman English without doing this. The research (in dusty library tomes), the 5x7 note cards, the outline, the drafting and, dear God, the double-spaced TYPING! Am I the only living soul who remembers using Witeout for corrections?

@PatriarchTree Sophomore English at our high school was a 25-page research paper on some classic American novel, with the regular note cards for bibliography and the big note cards for quotes.

@BatesLine @PatriarchTree My composition teacher required 20 pages without the use of any conjugation of the verb “to be.”
