While we’re talking about MLP though I’ll say this: Spike had every right to be upset and want to find out his heritage and people calling him selfish for that are unsympathetic to not only adopted kids but adopted kids of a different culture growing up hearing microaggressions.

@CarouselUnique I wish mlp had more writers of color in the room like I feel like the writers always try to make a statement about social issues but can't get it right. Especially in the Friends forever comic where I feel like the dragons were coded as Black people in a sense of oppression-

@CarouselUnique And although Luna apologized the racist cop only really gets a "go home" and none of the ponies really called out the racism and that cop never apologized. I wish there was more mlp stuff where characters stood on business

@irl_pluto Same here I think they tried but they were blinded by their own lack of understanding

@CarouselUnique As much as I like Mlp White is such a default in the staff that you don’t bat an eye at all of the mane characters being voiced by White women
