@CarouselUnique Like they're so different you cant properly lump them together. Tales is very clearly not a spin off generation like 3.5 or Pony life. Its its own thing that existed along side the gen 2 toyline

I’d say Friendship is Magic but truthfully while it is my favorite the impact on the brand going forward troubles me so it’s Tales (G2 of the MLPTVU). Equestria Girls isn’t its own generation but I’m willing to overlook that because it is peak.

@toybox_coffin Very much so and I’m not denying Tales is based on the G1 toys but in the ways that matter (literally the Jenny Nicholson tweet about every decade the ponies going through an extinction event and their whole world, characters and magic system changing) it is a proper Generation.

Guys how hard is it to realize that the toyline and the vis-media have a completely different generation distinction. For the toys it is just which toyline era but for the visual media it is in fact depending on the structure and character change for the shows/movies/specials.
