@Revolver9060 @DudespostingWs If he's never done any lift like this before and suddenly jumped into doing this, sure, but the body adapts to the stresses put on it, if progressed gradually. This is how people HAD to squat before the invention of racks too

@Revolver9060 @DudespostingWs First, it was lift with the legs, not the back; putting load on the spine was dangerous. Then, we realized we need to strengthen our backs, but keep that spine neutral/straight when loaded. Finally, we've recognized training loaded bending gives extra resilience
