@CodeRed_dev Yeah essentially. Like, I might make personal mini games in Unity to say that I have experience in Unity. But any serious games that I want to put on the market will all be made in Godot.
The thought is appreciated, but the trust is gone.

@CodeRed_dev That’s pretty much how I feel. I appreciate that they’re making this change, it’s a good change. But a lot of people already moved to Godot and prefer it now. Either way, I’m glad, this benefits Unity users.

@CodeRed_dev I haven't even open an email, I was sure I'll see it on Twitter 🤣

@CodeRed_dev This never bothered me simply because I make such small games to not be affected by this, but it's a shame the effect it had on the community.

@CodeRed_dev I'd bet and say unity will pull back, shareholders will probably see this change + pricing increase and buy shares, they'll get a higher budget to make better changes

Damage has been done, yes a years worth of bad press and game devs talking about jumping ship next game.
Most developers aren't done with that said game and the runtime feed is gone, the barrier to being charged raised, and many leadership positions changed.
$U went up 26.04% in the past 5 days.

@CodeRed_dev As someone who moved to ue5 I see this as an absolute win but I will be sticking to ue5

@CodeRed_dev Laughs in Unreal (it's free)

@CodeRed_dev So many people I know moved to godot for 2d games. The only appeal unity has right now is low poly 3d games.
