It’s always a Sunday with our sheep….
The new ram has been in the paddock, with sheep in the next field. Not ideal to be on his own, but we need to quarantine him.
Me: we really need to give him company. How about Bradley (teaser ram who is on the way out)
1
Farmer: No, because two rams will fight.
Me: what about Thug Life and a few of my tame lambs, I’m sure they won’t mind being pampered.
F: No, it should be an adult
Me: what about the teasers?
F: No, maybe we will get a new ram
Me: Well I think he needs company now
2
Farmer: Well we will sort something out on Monday.
Me: Okay then, if you’re sure.
Farmer, 9pm tonight: The rams gone missing!
So off we all trot to find the missing ram. He managed to push through the fence.

Farmer goes marching off through the corn fields (as that’s their usual trick). Muddy Buddy grabs the mule and heads to our furtherest away fields.
Me, I reckon rams are pretty lazy, so me and Mini Muddy head to the lamb group which is closer.
4
It’s also the field where my dirty hussies of ewes jumped in with the rams, so I know to an adult sheep it is breakable in-able, and hopefully now, not so break-a-out-able.
My instincts are right, Stavros is running around the field.
My lambs are wondering who this dude is
5
At this point I realise I don’t have my phone. Luckily I’m by the house so I grab it. Farmer’s phone is switched off… due to the new rule of trying to turn it off at 7 for family time.
Muddy Buddy’s phone isn’t being answered. I now have a ram, but I’m missing the men.
6
One is somewhere waist deep in corn, the other is somewhere. I’m now trying to find them across the field. Finding the ram was easier.
Finally MB comes back, I locate Farmer in with the ewes. We decide to move the ewes so we can use their field.
7
We get Stavros and the lambs in. Luckily he’s pretty chill and easy to get out of the group first. But who to put with him?
There’s two ewes in the group, one with a late lamb and one that needed fleshing up. We figure the ladies might keep him entertained.
8
So now Stavros is contained in another field with company, my lambs are back in their field, the ewes are happy in the field we were planning to cut for hay. And it’s 10pm on a Sunday night and time for bed!
Even the newbies are naughty on our farm!
Night all!
