I love Tony Hawk, I think he's a cool dude and I have no problem with him creating skateboards with his blood in the paint. That's metal af. What I'm not cool with is the indifference from the people who got outraged when Lil Nas X put a drop of blood into some shoes.

But I guess since Tony Hawk isn't black or gay it's perfectly fine for him to do it, or whatever.

@DatFirePrincess Idk If he called it Satan Deck and the graphic was baphomet and it was a reworked version of another companies decks you'd probably see a little outrage that you're not seeing now.

@DatFirePrincess Tony didn't bring Satan on as an advisor to sell his shoe's! Maybe, JUST maybe that could be the difference in public outcry??????

@DatFirePrincess I feel the issue with Lil Nas X was more along the religious side, as well as not getting consent from Nike, and nothing to do with the blood, his race, or sexual orientation.

@DatFirePrincess Pretty sure Tony Hawk didn't offend an entire religion (no matter how much it was warranted) like Lil Nas X did. Lets not pretend that the blood was the actual issue

@DatFirePrincess Did anyone who wasn't a Christian or the Nike company even get mad? I don't remember anyone else actually having a problem with the shoes or music video. If anything I think people, including me, just thought it was funny that he was fucking with people.

@DatFirePrincess what you get wrong is that lil nas x also used satanic symbols on the shoes and also sold them illegally without having the rights from nike to sell them there goes alot more into this than him beeing white and not gay

@DatFirePrincess I guess the evangelicals have added an 11th commandment: “Thou shall not be Black, gay and have a dry sense of humor that involves mention of an imaginary character I made up to keep y’all in line.” Please tell King James he needs an edit.

@DatFirePrincess Stop trying to pull race or lgbtq cards. People didn’t like the shoes because they had satanist stuff all over them. I would’ve even bought them if there wasn’t the fucking pentagram attached to the shoestrings and stuff written all over them

@DatFirePrincess Pushing satanic things onto one of the most popular shoe brands without permission is way different then blood in paint on skate boards with full permissions from everyone involved. Get it right. Your ignorance is crazy
