@Decaturish Hey @ossoff can we have federal legislation that funds lunch for all kids in public schools please? If we can legislate what's in the lunches, why not fund the lunches? Legislation that makes this sort of shaming illegal would also be good. This is absolutely insane & must stop.

@Decaturish Here in MA we voted (last year) to provide free lunch to every public school student in the state. Guess what? It works and we didn’t break the bank to do what’s right.

@Decaturish Call child protective services if parents can't feed their own children. If they aren't paying at school for food; the children aren't getting food at home either. Every deadbeat parent who didn't pay is now saying... "see, if I wait long enough, I don't have to pay".

@Decaturish The PR fallouts from CoD have been harrowing the last few yrs. People prob have no idea that the wealthiest CoD parents send their kids to Woodward, Pace, etc. They have the influence but get detached when their kids don't go to school in the district or have aged out.
