I toured a condo bldg in downtown ATL that had a sign posted by the elevator basically saying “use at your own risk”. I asked the realtor+she said yeah-it breaks down sometimes. So…you weren’t gonna tell me I’d have to walk 12 FLIGHTS?! And you wonder why that area is abandoned.

We have pictures of our family members/ancestors just like this hanging in our home currently. From Pennsylvania (and Virginia/New York/DC) as well! A lot of us eventually migrated down to Atlanta but we are an East Coast indigenous people through and through ♥️

I miss beauticians. NOT hairstylists. BEAUTICIANS. The ones where all you had to do was show up & they would knew just what your hair needed. The ones that shampooed, conditioned, & detangled your hair. The ones that did protein & hot oil treatments and kept up on trimming your hair. The ones that kept up with the latest hairstyles and tried them on you. The ones who kept you in the hair salon all day on a Saturday, but you were fine with it because the hairstyle lasted 2 weeks or more ❤️
