@IndianTechGuide No movie lovers would like this kinda experience. Where eating and munching is prioritised over experiencing a movie 🤡

@IndianTechGuide So the occasional mobile ringing, baby crying wasn't enough, now movie goers will have to deal with cutlery clinking, regular munching, waiters walking, plates breaking

The concept blends cinema and gourmet dining: order from food & beverage menus and have meals served in your auditorium seat. The multiplex features state-of-the-art tech: 4K laser projection, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby 7.1 surround sound. There are multiple in-house food categories (e.g. Crosta, Cine Café, Steamestry) offering pizzas, local cuisine, stir fries, etc. Pricing starts around ₹490 for a two-seater table and ₹990 for a four-seater. PVR INOX plans to expand this format further with 4–5 new dine-in cinemas by FY27, with investment per cinema around ₹3 crore.

@IndianTechGuide If a small packet of popcorn costs so much then it's beyond imagination how much dine-in would cost there. Maybe one should come up with the property documents.

@IndianTechGuide Crazy that PVR destroyed all other competitors, only to struggle to make profits as a monopoly even after multiple rounds of innovation and selling 700 rupee coffees.

India is now moving towards more and more luxury day by day🔼 But talking about the GDP per Capita, is our population really growing wealth ? No It's just a few privileged people who worked for it educated themselves! Rest of the population is still freebie dependent by the government.

@IndianTechGuide 😂 So the one who goes for a dine-in movie better be ready to eat for 1.5–2 hrs (and 3 hrs if it’s a Hindi movie). My friend has constipation the moment he eats, in an hour he’s in the washroom. So what’s next? Movie in sh!t or sh!t in movie? 🍿💩

@IndianTechGuide Eating seems to be more important than actually paying attention to what's happening on the screen ! Groping for all the items of food in a darkened theatre is no fun !

@IndianTechGuide Theaters should be a celebration of cinema, not becoming fine dine restaurants. Go to an actual restaurant if you want food, or fucking sit at home and watch on your TV while having pizza.

While PVR INOX's dine-in cinema concept in Bengaluru sounds innovative, it seems a bit out of sync with the typical Indian moviegoer's expectations. The pricing for a two-seater table might be steep for many, especially when most audiences prioritize the movie experience over gourmet dining.
