@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP The cause of the accident isn't even known yet and here you are, using this young person's death to sell newspapers. Absolutely vile.
Here's what the police had to say earlier this year.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP It’s a pity Inverness isn’t close to London. It would have had a six lane motorway if it did, using Scottish oil wealth. Alas Scotland has no say on its oil wealth as it all goes straight to London
Maybe think about voting for Scotland next time
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP As a policeman told me when my father wrote off his car on the A9, there's nothing wrong with the road. It's the drivers who don't drive with due care and attention. Having driven this road a good few times, I have to agree.
@InvCourier@FacundoSavala@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP The answer is our ‘government’ is focused on ruining people’s lives, not improving them.
Yes to: Car taxes, pointless recycling schemes, trashing woman’s rights, foreign embassies.
No to: dualling dangerous roads, new ferries, reducing drug deaths, improving education.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP The piece on Radio 4 News programme yesterday between 17.00/18.00 gave an answer. The piece touch on the LARGE amount of MONEY the UK Treasury continue to rake in from the North Sea oil/gas fields. We were told in 2014 that this resource was running out.
@InvCourier@CatherineMcKer@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP I’m not a fan of the Nusnp whatsoever however the snp started to duel the A9 years ago it’s in progress…. I don’t remember anyone complaining about this when the unionists were in Hollyrood handing back billions to London because they couldn’t think of anything to spend it on !
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP No one has the name of a road on their death certificate, for a reason. As tragic as this death is, there are other factors at play here. These deaths should not be used as a political football by Torys looking to gain political points.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP Whenever labour And tories were in charge they were constantly asked abouts a better road to the Highlands. Nothing one inch of tarmac was laid. Tragic for the poor family left to pick up the pieces but its disgusting to blame the Scottish government.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP I drove the A9 for 25yrs without incident. I saw many accidents in that time, I also saw many reasons for those accidents, from not driving to the weather conditions to poor decisions by drivers.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP You'll fetnothing from that feckless shower in Holyrood....the Highlands are very much an afterthought to the central belt focused parliament
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP The answer is that Westminster stole our oil wealth and reinvested nothing in Scotland. Throughout Scotland, you will struggle to see any gains from 5 decades of oil bounty. Uniquely, Scotland has nothing to show for its oil discovery, thanks to the resources thieves of London.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP Interestingly...... Any death is sad but one of the most common causes of RTCs is distraction Distractions include mobile phones, in-car audio systems, children, and so-called backseat drivers.
Looks like the Inverness Courier wish to add "SNP" to the list for political reasons.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP I've driven this road for decades. It FEELS a lot safer than it used to, av speed cameras calmed things down a fair bit. But mix of dual and single is confusing and junctions are clearly not fit for purpose.
@InvCourier@scotgov@HumzaYousaf@KevinStewartSNP The Inverness courier...working for the union.
All those billions.made by UK and not a Carmel spent upgrading the A9 in 50 years....fuck off Inverness Courier
