I struggle to understand how every single year the play-calling has to be essentially perfect in order for this offense to consistently click. At what point in Jalen Hurts’ career is he responsible for elevating the offense like every other franchise QB does?

@KBeckEagles It’s not the play calling. It’s the entire offensive scheme. Siriani’s scheme is dog shit. Kellen Moore barely got the most out of it last year. The pass game struggled at times last year too but they were so dominant up front, on the ground and defensively it didn’t matter

@KBeckEagles Fair point. Hurts is part of this issue. Missing a wide open Devonta and the pick today were bad, he offensive line is not playing well either. Feels almost like Hurts at times is a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

@KBeckEagles He elevated it in 23 and led them to the postseason. Lost in the first round because of injuries to the entire roster. Hurts with a poor roster/crap play calling can get you to the postseason. That’s the ceiling

@KBeckEagles it’s more of an indictment on the decision makers that chose to overpay him, whilst overpaying for the luxury of 2 WR1s, keeping the OL mostly in-tact, & a rostering an elite RB, than it is on Hurts, who has consistently been the exact same player he’s always been, & can’t throw.

@KBeckEagles Jalen missed a wide open DeVonta for a bomb TD. Jalen had Brown wide open in the end zone on the INT that resulted in a big return to set up a NYG TD. That's a 21 point swing in a game decided by 17 points. The play calling worked, the QB is the problem.

@KBeckEagles I disagree. The playcalling only has to be mediocre to succeed like it did under Steichen and Moore. Jalen didnt learn from fine under those two. But when it’s amateur high school predictable, everybody looks bad.
