@KBeckEagles I don’t think they were ever looking to draft his replacement. I think they wanted to build a dynamic offense that threatens from multiple levels and positions.
Whether they did that or not is TBD. But trying to replace an All Pro is fool’s gold.

@KBeckEagles Titans tried drafting AJ's replacement - how'd that work out for them?
You draft the best player available
English

@KBeckEagles His "replacement" in the offense is Smitty. They got a guy who can allow their new Coordinator to attack defenses in different ways on different parts of the field.
Smitty, Wicks, Lemon, Brown, Goedert, Stowers gives this offense plenty of weapons to do what they want
English

@KBeckEagles They’re not replacing him, they’re replacing his production.
English

@KBeckEagles Sorry man after actually watching Lemons Tape this kid is miles better than Germie Bernard you don't replace AJ production with a rookie Smitty will you try to replace WR2 production will the rookie and WR3
English

@KBeckEagles You don’t draft to replace certain player. Stupid ass take. You pick the best player at the position you are in. Howie has said thus time and time again. Where earlier in his career he would prioritize little more drafting for need and was mistake. Also great WR cn b dif sizes
English

@KBeckEagles They will be running a different offense with different concepts and routes. They weren’t looking for an AJ Brown replacement. They were looking at the best player available that fits the scheme.
English

@KBeckEagles U take best available player. Lemon was far and away the best player available. You don’t take a much lesser receiver because he has similar measurables to someone.
English

@KBeckEagles They aren’t looking to replace him. They are running a different offense.
English

@KBeckEagles Chasing types instead of talent led us to draft Jalen Raegor instead of Jettas
English

@KBeckEagles I feel like people grossly misinterpret what makes AJ dominant. It’s his stacking ability on go balls and physicality at the top of his routes. He hasn’t been a super fast/elite separator kind of guy since like year 2, every bigger, fast WR is compared to him lol
English

@KBeckEagles You don’t draft a replacement. That means youre going away from you board and Bernard isn’t anything like AJ. He’s a good blocking power slot
English

@KBeckEagles They’re not gonna replace AJ and they’re running a different system this year. Trying to match up play styles is how the Titans drafted Treylon Burks
English

@KBeckEagles So a tradeup in Rd2 instead of in Rd1 and should've taken Iheanachor in Rd1? That was my take anyway.
English

@KBeckEagles '25/'26 are going to define PHI next era. Howie either nailed or missed it.
From FA who left to drafted vs available
-Campbell/Mukuba or Emmanworri/Fannin
-Lemon/Stowers or Ileanachor/EMW
-Campbell/Lemon need to be real deal
-Mukuba/Stowers need to be plus starters
We'll see
English

@KBeckEagles They were looking for the best available player and got massive value with lemon at #20. Kid is a dawg, Philly is going to love him!
English

@KBeckEagles I really liked the prospect but let’s not act like he was ever gonna be one of the best WRs in the league… Lemons ceiling is a JSN - ARSB type of player. I can see Bernard being a consistent 700-1000 yard guy but never a true 1
English

@KBeckEagles We don’t need an AJ replacement. We have Smitty. Who was better than AJ last year. We needed a Smitty replacement.
English

@KBeckEagles Smitty is the replacement man. Lemon slides into Smitty role. And WR3 & 4 is a rotation. It’s not that hard.
English

@KBeckEagles I love football but ya should try and find something else to do…. Jus sayin.
English

@KBeckEagles We have aj’s replacement his name is Darius cooper
