@MandersSnark1 @alphafox Agree, he gave her a desert fork & not a dinner fork, I would have done the same thing. Same as when I see people eating ice cream with a soup spoon & not a tea spoon…😳
English

@Huhimagine @MandersSnark1 @alphafox You don't think people should eat ice cream with a dessert spoon (or a parfait spoon, depending on the vessel)? Tea spoon tends to be more for children eating ice cream when a dessert spoon is too big for them.
English

@sqronce @MandersSnark1 @alphafox Desert spoons are the same as teaspoons in North America, not to be confused with espresso spoons. Parfait spoons have a long neck, not used for anything other than a parfait glass. Most kids eat ice cream out of a bowl.

@sqronce @MandersSnark1 @alphafox Tell me, how many different types of spoons & forks are sold in an cutlery set, that the average person buys. That’s what I thought…
English

@Huhimagine @sqronce @alphafox Desert spoons and tea spoons. Maybe if you are a bit posh then soup spoons as well.
English

@MandersSnark1 @sqronce @alphafox No, teaspoons & soup spoons, dessert fork & dinner forks are found in the average cutlery case you’d buy in Tesco, Costco, IKEA etc.
English

@Huhimagine @sqronce @alphafox Desert fork, who has desert forks? Average set (UK) is Knives, Forks, Desert Spoons, Tea spoons. This set from John Lewis.

English

@MandersSnark1 @sqronce @alphafox Straight off Amazon, cutlery set sold in North America..

@Huhimagine @sqronce @alphafox You are obviously more sophisticated than us. We wouldn't know what a desert fork was if it prodded us in the butt.🤣🤣🤣
