@elerneRX @mhdksafa This isn't wholesome, this is evidence of a capitalistic hellscape. This is not something to be moved by and celebrated, this should make your heart break, that a supposed wealthy country lets its most vulnerable suffer.
This situation shouldn't happen in the first place.
English

@elerneRX @mhdksafa It shouldn't be up to the random spur of the moment good deeds of others to decide if someone gets to live or die. And yet that is what is shown here.
How can you not be utterly horrified by that? Why aren't you demanding the government changes how it handles healthcare??
English

@LaurieMMarshall @elerneRX @mhdksafa The tweet has enough space to both encourage helping each other AND encourage tangible actions for change so this isn't even needed anymore.
I only see one. Do you see anything I'm not?
This tweet ONLY normalizes that people should depend on random acts of kindness.
English

@LaurieMMarshall @elerneRX @mhdksafa I've watched many fellow diabetics just straight up die trying to crowdfund enough money for their insulin, and failing at that. The money divided between those of us who are the most likely to help out isn't infinite. Many life saving drugs cost too much for random strangers.
English

@LaurieMMarshall @elerneRX @mhdksafa So yeah, I'm going to be upset that a tweet only glorifies the act of kindness for an affordable medical bill, without calls for action, while people are dying because no stranger is willing to pay $2000 for someone's insulin.
English

@LaurieMMarshall @elerneRX @mhdksafa I will not be moved by people doing these 'acts of kindness' and getting kudos for that while millions more suffer under a capitalist hellscape like this, and literally die. Not when said act isn't accompanied by something more.
