@MetabolicUncle @DrEenfeldt They're isn't even an issue with this graph 😭 That's a perfectly healthy time in range, never goes over 140mg, no issues whatsoever. This is why people who don't have diabetes shouldn't be using this tech, they don't know what normal is and get orthorexia as a result.

@DrEenfeldt What amazes me most is how delusional people like him are. They don’t even realize that they’re exposing their compromised metabolism by admitting they can’t even handle a granola bar without issues. It’s honestly just sad.

Wearing a CGM may lead to fear of normal blood glucose swings, and avoidance of carbs, leading to carb intolerance and even more fear of "spikes". Feeling "ill" ten hours after eating a snack bar does not seem healthy. A healthy, flexible metabolism should be able to handle it.

@arteesun @DrEenfeldt A spike is when I eat, mistime my insulin and I go up to 240 for a few hours before I'm back in range by hour 4-5. This person's graph is perfectly normal and just fear mongering because he doesn't understand what he's talking about.

@arteesun @DrEenfeldt Because they are my dude. You eat, your glucose goes up, your body responds by releasing an appropriate amount of insulin, your glucose goes down. Nobody has a completely flat glucose level because that's not how our metabolism is designed. None of these are spikes.

I rushed her to the emergency vet and she fell asleep in my arms before passing. She'll be cremated sometime this week. I want her back home so badly.

She'd been struggling with symptoms for half a year now. We discovered early December it was cancer (lymphoma) and untreatable. Her abdomen was filled with fluid and on the 26th she struggled to breathe. It happened so fast, she was fine during Christmas day.

My sweet little soulmate passed the rainbow bridge on the 26th of December. She was the light of my life and my anchor, the most important presence for 12.5 years. I've posted about her before and I wanted to let everyone know. Photos: my tuxedo cat laying down cutely.

Lots of people rely on CC to watch streams. I am fully hearing, but I haveal auditory processing issues and often watch streams on mute. CC lets me engage with a stream in those cases. Remember, accessibility is for EVERYONE.

@RemembersAlways @katesmithh @elerneRX @mhdksafa Focusing more on the positive hasn't prevented diabetics dying from being unable to afford their insulin despite begging for the generosity of other people to help afford it. Positive thoughts don't save lives.

@katesmithh @elerneRX @MermaidsLullaby @mhdksafa I think we'd be farther along as a society if we focused more on the positive, ppl-helping-ppl stories than the current emphasis on the hellscape that is the political sphere. It just shows that we *can* still come together, that we aren't dueling-till-the-death over everything

@LaurieMMarshall @elerneRX @mhdksafa I will not be moved by people doing these 'acts of kindness' and getting kudos for that while millions more suffer under a capitalist hellscape like this, and literally die. Not when said act isn't accompanied by something more.

@LaurieMMarshall @elerneRX @mhdksafa So yeah, I'm going to be upset that a tweet only glorifies the act of kindness for an affordable medical bill, without calls for action, while people are dying because no stranger is willing to pay $2000 for someone's insulin.

@SupportDetrans I also kind of jumped into this based on a mutual or two interacting, so I'm not sure if you consider non-binary under the trans umbrella or not. If you don't then I apologize.

@SupportDetrans I'm just a random cis person in your timeline but I really need everyone to understand that undoing peer pressure is not transphobia. You're no less valid. Your opinions matter. If your story upsets so many that they accuse you of transphobia they got a lot of reflecting to do.
