As a gay man who grew up terrified of being myself, I finally found myself and feel safe in the West. We fought for decades for the right to live openly, marry, and exist without fear. Now we're told we must import millions from countries where homosexuality is punishable by imprisonment, flogging, or death. Polls show majorities in many Muslim-majority nations and parts of Africa still view us as criminals or worse. I don't hate individuals. I just want to keep walking down the street without looking over my shoulder. Normal gay people aren't bigots for wanting the West to stay a safe haven for us. Protect our hard-won freedoms first. Borders exist for a reason.

@NormalGayPsych When I was a flight attendant our Amsterdam layover hotel was in a heavily arabized area and it was pretty terrifying walking through it at night

@NormalGayPsych Same goes for women. We grew up in a high trust society, where most men know and respect boundaries, rules and laws. Now we're importing people from countries, who don't give a shit, bc they know they're getting away with it here. Gl to us all, once we become minorities.

The mistake you make is in assuming that all immigrants hold the same views. In Tassie there’s a a gay Saudi cartoonist and his partner who arrived in Australia a few years ago by boat. He had to flee Saudi with nothing but the clothes on his back when his dad (an Imam) walked in on him and his BF in bed together. His Dad LITERALLY got a crowd with rocks, burning torches and pitchforks to come and try and kill him and his BF. The partner took a different route to rejoin him in Oz. He regularly marches as part of a pro-gay rights Muslim float in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

@NormalGayPsych Then it will be necessary to rachet down the anti-anti-homosexual "stuff" that erupts at the least -- I don't know, raised eyebrow? I know it's very difficult not to take on someone else's hatred as one's own fault but begin to catch it before it goes...

@NormalGayPsych Best of all is the cultural "enrichment" from uganda, where being gay is a literal death sentence

@NormalGayPsych why are you fearing the enemy from outside the United States when there are far more enemies in the America that aren't Muslim?

@NormalGayPsych As a single Christian woman I nursed in the Middle East & lived under sharia. What I witnessed was barbaric. People need to understand Islam is not compatible with the west. I can say that as I’ve experienced it first hand.

@NormalGayPsych Then why is it that the only churches that will allow fags are the ones the the lgbptqlmnop+ flags or run by muslims but true conservative churches won't allow fags?
