I worked at Facebook when we had 200 employees I’ve never understood why FB needs 20,000 employees. And less so the 70,000 employees Meta has now @elonmusk’s Twitter layoffs are appropriate Unfortunate, but appropriate These businesses just don’t require that many people

@rsg @benedictevans @elonmusk This reeks of “the only important job function is my job function.” Just because you don’t understand why companies add headcount doesn’t mean the headcount is unnecessary.

@ProtestedGame @rsg @benedictevans @elonmusk Well, there are almost always a surplus of management and hr titles that are more or less unnecessary when you have a bad codification of roles. This is nothing new. Companies that grow usually don't have time to look at this with clear eyes.

@ProtestedGame @rsg @benedictevans @elonmusk Umm, yeah, if the people employed don’t know what they really do and have an inflated view of their importance, then they shouldn’t have been hired in the first place. These are companies in business for profit, not a charity case.

@ProtestedGame @rsg @elonmusk In the workplace, the Pareto principle means that 80% of the responsibility and work are shouldered by only 20% of your employees! Meaning, most of the work and effort are from the minority of your staff.

@ProtestedGame @rsg @elonmusk Doesn't take a genius to figure out it had a ton of fat it needed to burn. Barely profitable and lost money most of it's life. It does literally only one thing that hasn't changed in like decades. Ppl literally twiddle their thumbs all day. 90% is only for woke moderation.

@ProtestedGame @rsg @elonmusk Based pn the evidence im going to suggest Elon Musk has more understanding of how businesses work considering he has amassed over $200billion from running many successful ones over some guy called Chris on Twitter 😂😂😂

@ProtestedGame @rsg @elonmusk If you can fire thousands of people and offer the exact same service you didn’t need those people.
