We launched Fren.gg as an experiment to see whether there was the opportunity for our launchpad to do well in the current climate.
While we put a lot of effort into pre-launch exposure building and the launchpad itself has functioned correctly, we did not achieve the kind of success we would have needed for our experiment to be a success.
It's understandable given the high number of launchpads deploying to Robinhood, but we also had to try to know for sure, and that's the nature of experiments.
To be as pragmatic about the situation as we can be, Fren.gg will be closed, and we will not direct more resources and time into trying to grow it in a saturated market.
We've met a lot of really cool people through the process of launching Fren, and many people surely loved our brand.
As a way to say thanks to people for your support, we're granting anyone holding Fren the rights to use the brand in any way you see fit, including commercially.
That is on the proviso that you bought and held FREN at some point before this post.
I'll close out by thanking everyone who contributed in any way at all to the process. I wish we had have gotten the results we were aiming for, but that takes nothing away from the hard work and positive energy people injected into Fren. Thank you.
