Cowl Protocol is live on Robinhood Chain mainnet. Every line below runs today, settled on chain, from a browser tab or a terminal.
- Shield => Move ETH or any token into the shielded pool.
- Unshield => Take it back out, to any address you like.
- Send => Pay a zcowl address, and the chain records neither end of it.
- Receive => One reusable address, share it anywhere.
- Swap => Trade straight from your shielded balance.
- Portfolio => Two books, and only one of them is yours to read.
- Gasless => The relayer pays and submits, so your wallet stays off chain.
- Auto route => Token to token, routed through ETH for you.
Both doors are open. The web app at app.cowlprotocol.com, and the CLI on npm.
Worth remembering how this looked at the start. One shielded pool. One terminal client. And a question nobody on this chain had answered. Can a spend settle in public while the ZK proof keeps the amounts and both parties sealed.
It can, and now it does.
The pool hit mainnet in July and the first private trade landed days later. Then the gasless relayer, because the gas payer is the tell almost nobody thinks about until it has already handed them over. Then the app. Surface by surface, until the entire protocol fit inside a browser tab, and this week the audit reports went public and the private swap opened to everyone.
And we are still early. What you can use today is the floor, not the ceiling.

Vesper is actually one of the more trusted developers in this space. I feel like you’re not in the loop of what’s happening in the background.
Fren was an experiment to bring back value to holders while we worked through our underlying issues the team has been facing in the last couple months or so.
I back Vesper and I back his AI infrastructure he is building. This is just a little speed bump on our way up.

We launched Fren.gg as an experiment to see whether there was the opportunity for our launchpad to do well in the current climate.
While we put a lot of effort into pre-launch exposure building and the launchpad itself has functioned correctly, we did not achieve the kind of success we would have needed for our experiment to be a success.
It's understandable given the high number of launchpads deploying to Robinhood, but we also had to try to know for sure, and that's the nature of experiments.
To be as pragmatic about the situation as we can be, Fren.gg will be closed, and we will not direct more resources and time into trying to grow it in a saturated market.
We've met a lot of really cool people through the process of launching Fren, and many people surely loved our brand.
As a way to say thanks to people for your support, we're granting anyone holding Fren the rights to use the brand in any way you see fit, including commercially.
That is on the proviso that you bought and held FREN at some point before this post.
I'll close out by thanking everyone who contributed in any way at all to the process. I wish we had have gotten the results we were aiming for, but that takes nothing away from the hard work and positive energy people injected into Fren. Thank you.

We are officially beginning a new chapter today. The launchpad fren.gg is from here on out going to be our testbed for agentic technology that is capable of autonomously running online businesses. We have begun the process of mapping the business operations of Fren, and will be commencing the work to build an agentic team to run all operations. Simultaneously, we are treating this as a research project on a live test case with real money. We will be studying the systems needed to build complex agentic systems in business environments, and turning that into new knowledge, some of which we will share publicly. We've had a period of dormancy which today is closed out.

We've now completed the process of deploying the protocol, we'll be spending the next few hours working on testing and stabilising the platform under load.
Our deployer wallet... 0x68f5DA0923dD77B6F8cA0080566720B16C2EE203
.. purchased around 50% of supply at launch in order to prevent snipers from controlling supply in large amounts.
We'll be gradually and slowly using some of those funds for airdrops, starting tomorrow. Our airdrop schedule will be small ongoing drops of a maximum of 2% any one time.
We will be locking the total amount apart from what's needed for tomorrow's drop in a contract which has a 24 hour delay and will be checkable onchain.
