That’s the Rise of Skywalker for you. Things just HAPPEN to move the plot along. They needed the to find the wayfinder so they needed the dagger, so how do they get the dagger? By going to Desert Planet Number 3 because the dagger is underground in a cave but how do they get to the cave? By going out into the desert, but why? Because they’re chased by Stormtroopers, but how do they get to the cave, they get stuck in Quicksand and end up in the cave to just so happen to find the dagger that they don’t know they need but how do they get out? There’s a giant serpent that’s injured but somehow you can JUST HEAL WOUNDS WITH THE FORCE and it just so happened to open the way out for them.
