So, what is it about #Guatemalan women who seem to be the only conservatives willing to take on the Deep Guatemalan state? I have received a lot of private messages in support of @Sandra_JovelP, who stands firm against death threats and intimidation for being a true ally to U.S. interests and the Trump Administration. This reminds me of my 2022 interview with Attorney General Consuelo Porras—still sanctioned by the US (designation active since 2021), still in office (term ends May 2026), still extraditing criminals to the US, and still a target for pushing back against foreign interference and corruption. By the way, I have asked many stakeholders in Washington, DC, about the Biden-era sanctions on @Mconsueloporras, and one fesses up. Some Republican policymakers run like scalded dogs from this issue, and staff in Congress, too. Why is that? Patterns like CICIG's sovereignty-damaging experiment and politicized sanctions keep repeating when leaders refuse to align with global NGOs/establishment pressure.
