A gym mate asked me an interesting question today.
He and his wife each own 1 BTC.
No kids yet, but they plan to have at least two in the future.
Their goal is simple: hold those 2 BTC for the next 25 years.
Then he asked:
"Do you think 2 BTC will be enough to escape the fiat system?"
My answer was probably not what he expected.
I told him it depends.
• What will your annual expenses be? • Where will you live? • What will the cost of living look like? • What lifestyle are you aiming for?
I can't give price predictions, and anyone who claims to know where Bitcoin will be in 25 years is guessing.
What I do know is that he continues to DCA today, while keeping some liquidity for life's rainy days and unexpected expenses.
So now I'm curious...
If a young couple held 2 BTC for the next 25 years, would that be enough to permanently opt out of the fiat treadmill?
What's your number?
