This is a stretch. We were forced into a tough situation with the new CBA where we couldn’t retain both Ant and KAT, and had to maximize how much we could get for KAT. Which led to Randle. Connelly made a good trade, Finch was stuck trying to maximize a roster that lacked cohesion (and did a fairly good job of that).

@howlytics @DietBeginsMon @TwolvesBlog That's debatable. I am a big Gobert fan, but this trade, although it raised their floor, has locked their ceiling. Their ceiling now that OKC and SA are in the mix is at best a 2nd round exit. And the Gobert trade made it nearly impossible to improve that ceiling

@BuildPlayersPpl @howlytics @DietBeginsMon It ushered in the most successful era in franchise history. They just haven’t done a good enough job pivoting/planning for the years that follow (always was going to be the most important step). It stinks we forgot about player development/opportunity, and yes got screwed by CBA
