🖥️ Too much digitisation, without real accountability or indigenous control, is becoming a direct threat to democracy and to the daily life and liberty of ordinary people. When even a farmer’s right to enter the ANAJ MANDI and sell his own crop is made dependent on biometric machines, geo‑fenced apps, and satellite maps, the system stops serving the citizen and starts policing him. Across Haryana, new procurement rules are forcing farmers, labourers and drivers to stand in long queues for Aadhaar‑based biometric checks and app‑generated gate‑passes, while their tractors and trolleys wait outside the mandi in the heat. Elderly and sick farmers are dragged to the mandi just to give thumb impressions; when the machine fails or the server is down, their crop and payment are simply blocked as if their existence itself has crashed with the system. Relying blindly on such computer systems for basic economic rights: selling grain, earning wages, accessing MSP - turns every technical glitch into a weapon against the common man. A failed fingerprint or a frozen app can now mean no sale, no payment, no work. This is not “ease of doing business”; this is digital strangulation of the weakest. The danger is even bigger because much of this digital agriculture push sits on foreign‑designed standards, cloud-storage, chips and platforms, artificially manipulated weather pushed globally in the name of “smart agriculture”, “digital trade” and WTO‑style reforms. International bodies and big tech interests want our mandis, crops and stockpiles to be fully mapped, integrated and wholly controlled with global supply chains - while our own farmers, labourers and small traders are treated as mere data points. Instead of investing in truly indigenous, publicly audited and locally controlled technology, governments are locking our food system into opaque digital frameworks shaped by foreign commercial and geopolitical interests. If local producers are suffocated with impossible procedures, biometric hurdles, geo‑fenced controls and local farm crops being ruined through Geo engineered artificial rains🌧️, hailstorms🌨️, thunderstorms 🌪️⛈️ and droughts ☀️😥, they will slowly be pushed out and once that happens, it becomes far easier to justify dumping cheaper foreign produce and corporate grain into our markets in the name of “efficiency” and “global competitiveness”.
