CEO UIDAI Shri Vivek Chandra Verma held a meeting with Dr. K. L. N. Rao, DGP, Gujarat Police at Gandhinagar on Monday. CEO, UIDAI discussed the Aadhaar App and it's various features like user control, selective sharing, offline verification and several use cases. Dear Aadhaar number holder, your DoB can only be updated once. In case it needs to be updated more than the prescribed limit, then it can be done through the exception handling process. For that, you'll have to visit Aadhaar Kendra with the following documents: i.) A DOB certificate issued by the authority under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969. ii.) The process of updating the phone number in the app is completely secure and takes place in two steps: 01. OTP on the old registered mobile number: The user must enter the OTP sent to their old number. 02. Face verification: Face verification must also be done to confirm the identity. Only when both steps are successfully completed can the user update the new phone number in the app. If the user does not have access to the old mobile number, they are not allowed to update the number through the app. In this situation, the user must visit the nearest Aadhaar center to update the phone number. This method ensures that only the genuine user can make changes to his/her respective UID

You can request for Address update in your Aadhaar through our website uidai.gov.in. For online portal based update, mobile number must be registered with the Aadhaar. Note:- You can also visit nearest Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update your details in Aadhaar.
