@Kebbzdeen @pomnchi @nafskiller90 Coercion is as good a reason as any, however it kind of falls apart if you don’t already believe it’s a tangible threat or have a Monotheistic worldview. “God A will protect me from God B threats and punish his followers”

@alabyoboi @pomnchi @nafskiller90 Islam is free from coercion. Allah sends messengers to warn people of the consequences of willing rejecting the truth that they’ve been sent with. They also give glad tidings to those who willingly choose to conform to the truth. Reward or punishment the choice is yours.

@Kebbzdeen @pomnchi @nafskiller90 The threat of punishment leads to any demand inherently being coercion. It’s like taxes, if you willingly refuse to pay the government will persecute you, there’s also benefits to paying taxes. Don’t want to pay a tyrannical government? “Reward or Punishment the choice is yours”

@alabyoboi @Kebbzdeen @pomnchi @nafskiller90 Because you think Islam just only means praying to god alone is enough, it is a way of life ordained by someone who made this world. Is it coercion that there is punishment for theft or murder by the government ? Does punishment for wrongdoings make it inherently tyrannical ?

@Cyhleti @Kebbzdeen @pomnchi @nafskiller90 Yes. A government can’t function without a monopoly on violence and the ability to use it on you for disobedience. A way of life “imposed” on you via threat of unimaginable suffering is coercive. Punishment for wrongdoings can be tyrannical if imposed without subjects consent

@alabyoboi @Kebbzdeen @pomnchi @nafskiller90 "Without subject's consent". 😭😭 The government doesn't need your consent to arrest you and put you in jail if you did something really bad. I am not entertaining your buffoonery anymore, now you're just shifting goalposts.

@alabyoboi @Cyhleti @pomnchi @nafskiller90 Do criminals deserve punishment ,after committing crimes or should they first give their consent to be punished? Allah is the ultimate law giver. Everything belongs to him. You follow his laws or else face the consequences of being rebellious. Choice is yours. You’re not forced.

@alabyoboi @Kebbzdeen @pomnchi @nafskiller90 We're talking about an ideal setting here not a brutal dictatorship. How the hell did you manage to put bashar here, bashar did not have an ideal governance and I agree with what you said. He needed to go. You are assuming I'm defending a 'tyrannical' government.
