Serious question from this ex-New Yorker who may still drive the five boroughs on rare visits... One of the advocates, a Mr Kuntzman, alleged the speeding ticket is not issued unless one is going at least 11mph OVER the posted limit. Now I've always used that as a general rule: cops hold out for clear wins and won't chase someone 5mph over unless they already wanted to stop them. Is Mr Kuntzman accurate or using a perception of most New Yorkers that is false to ease their righteous concern? It's not about commies or socialists. Just thieves. The labels are not worth arguing. Bloomberg supported stop and frisk and banned large sodas. Organized crime corrupts capitalists and socialists are just more aligned from the start. The problem is the government. You're in a gang that does murder, kidnapping, and extortion while a few like Massie yell "we don't approve!". USA: RICO SUAVE And it's every government, so it's not like I discriminate.

@VickieforNYC What drivers should do is gather at these zones and drive at 5 MPH. If the left can protest, so shoule other groups.

What do you expect from a Council that has been infiltrated by Socialists who do not believe in car ownership (per their own words on social media)? These socialists don't believe in any kind of ownership, unless it's state-owned...err...city-owned. They believe that individual ownership of any type of property is a capitalistic evil. Regular New Yorkers better wake up...

@VickieforNYC 16 mph is speeding, if the speed was 5, 6 would be speeding. These are for SCHOOL ZONES. If you can’t drive slow for kids to be safe, you shouldn’t be driving at all

@VickieforNYC Why does it cost $1.8 billion to house the homeless in hotels? $1 billion for speed cameras to Verra Mobility. Then they have the balls to ask New Yorkers for an extra $5 billion. Who is getting kickbacks?

@VickieforNYC Seems like it’s best to ban vehicles, and let people walk. Seems like more summons that cost more than people’s daily income. NYC is really becoming at nightmare to live in.

@VickieforNYC @ManhattanMingle Speed cameras and red light cameras are illegal. We just don’t fight against them. The citizens of NJ fought the red light cameras and WON.

@VickieforNYC I didn’t hear you say that when Major Adams began giving out criminal summons for bike riders going 1 mile, that’s 16 mph, over the limit on a 8 pound bicycle. Why change? #NastyVickyForNYC

@VickieforNYC I remember Bill DeBlasio lowered the speed limit, then caught his motorcade was doing 80 mph around the city.

@VickieforNYC They’ve got an 18 year old liberal running the DOT twitter page, from the looks of it. They add to their resume of congestion-creating initiatives, and then show up to add another toll or tax.

@VickieforNYC Moving violations make insurance rates increase instantly. The actions of @GovKathyHochul & @NYCMayor make NY UNAFFORDABLE for 98% of people. The Avg. (modal) income in NY is <$50K. That is POVERTY officially. Middle Class is $350,000 p.a.

@VickieforNYC You always hit the nail on the head! The people of Queens and NYC would be lost without you. If not for you and Frank Morano and retired Bob Holden and a few others I would not fight as hard as I do in showing my support for each of you. Thank you as always for your honesty!

@VickieforNYC Going 20-25 mph is hardly speeding. In fact, creeping along at 15 causes more pollution then driving normally.

@VickieforNYC My neighbor used to blast down 80th ave in his Monte Carlo right by PS 115q, blowing stop signs, everything. They put in speed bumps. Solved the problem. Why do you think they would rather go with the one that charges $ vs the one that physically prevents the problem?

@VickieforNYC This is absolutely criminal against the people who live in this city! It’s hard enough to get around and accomplish everything that needs to be done in a day. Forcing us to drive at a snails crawl is a disgrace! Recall this commie asap!!!
