@EaglesTrackerNG Credit the keeper. If you spend time watching the keeper's position in such a situation, it's easy to miss the ball or make poor contact. The keeper won the poker play

#KnowYourNigerianAthletes to #Paris2024 Olympics - Tobi Sijuade will be representing Nigeria in Swimming, having qualified for the men's 50m Freestyle. Sijuade was at the African Games in Ghana, helping Team Nigeria win a Bronze medal in the men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay. The 22-year old Health and Exercise Science graduate from the University of Bath, will be Nigeria's only swimmer in Paris, becoming only the 11th Nigerian to qualify for Swimming at the Olympics. This is the first time in history that Nigeria will be qualifying for three consecutive Olympics in the Swimming event: ** Samson Opuakpo & Rachael Tonjor - 2016 ** Abiola Ogunbanwon - 2021 ** Tobi Sijuade - 2024

Let's head to the Aquatic Arena at the #AfricanGames2023, where Nigeria was in action in the Final of men's 50m Freestyle - Abduljabar Adama came very close to finishing on the podium, narrowly missing out as he came in 4th with a time of 23.01s. By the next Games, Nigeria will be making the podium a lot in the Swimming event.

Family is everything - after qualifying for #Paris2024 Olympics, Nigerian wrestler Esther Kolawole returned home from Egypt to celebrate her Olympic ticket with her parents. Esther's parents have been very supportive of her Wrestling career, and were delighted to see their daughter fulfilling her dreams of making the Olympics. She has been growing in leaps and bounds- last month in Accra, she won her first African Games title, winning the GOLD medal in women's 62kg.
