Birth control works, should all women be required to take it until they are married and financially stable to avoid unwanted progeny and over dependency on government assistance? Healthy diet and exercise work to reduce the leading causes of death in America, should everyone be on a government mandated diet and exercise plan? Liberty means we have the freedom to make our own health decisions, regardless of what "works" (or doesn't work) in the eyes of government officials. Their job is to represent us in political matters, they do not have Medical Power of Attorney to make health decisions for us.
