Australia is a poster child of political shambles...
48.5c in the dollar, pay for your own healthcare, your own retirement, your own education, 10% GST, 30% fuel tax.....
Houses are the most expensive in the world, we are a net exporter of coal, uranium, LNG and have expensive electricity
Remind me what we get for our 47-48c in the dollar?

@dialdfordan @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn We haven’t indexed tax brackets and we still sit in the middle of OECD countries for total taxation.
English

@AMllRA @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn We have not indexed tax brackets in how many years? What has the impact been on bracket creep?
Again my point still stands, you must contribute very little by comparison.
English

@GEOFI86 @markgardn I didn’t say it did. But in reality the stats show it does. The Nordic and Scandinavian countries have the highest tax and they always have the highest happiness and quality of life index.
English

@AMllRA @markgardn Paying more in tax does not equal better quality of life
English

@dialdfordan @nobodyu24108964 @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn I didn’t say it was acceptable you retard. My point is that Australia is still one of the best places to live for the amount of tax we pay.
English

@AMllRA @nobodyu24108964 @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn So you think that it’s an acceptable rate? You’re okay contributing over half your income to the government? Have you ever done that?
English

@dialdfordan @nobodyu24108964 @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn And they have similar taxes in every other country. You’re acting like this is unique to Australia
English

@nobodyu24108964 @AMllRA @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn Naive outlook on taxation. GST? Stamp duty on home? LCT on car purchase? Fuel excise? Alcohol tax?
Need me to continue?
English

@dialdfordan @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn You do realise Australia sits roughly in the middle of OECD countries when comparing total tax paid.
So once again my point still stands… Australia is easily one of the best countries to live considering how much tax we pay.
English

@AMllRA @GriffinTed48301 @markgardn Let me guess, you don’t pay the top tax bracket?
You do realise the combination of direct PAYG plus all ancillary taxation means your total taxation is circa 70% or more?
Let me know how you feel about the conditions once you’re sendings 100s of thousands to them each year.
English

@danpetty @markgardn You can easily get an appointment with a doctor that bulk bills anywhere in the country.
Specialists are free if you go through the public system.
English

@AMllRA @markgardn Healthcare isn't free. Hardly any Drs bulk bill and you still have to pay to see specialists or get scans.
English

@GriffinTed48301 @markgardn My point still stands that Australia is one of the best countries to live in the world for the amount of tax we pay.
English

@AMllRA @markgardn I think you're a bot but in case not, this post is asking what Australians receive for the amount of tax they pay. Taxpayers support an unprecedented amount of people - from welfare recipients to politicians. Productivity has plummetted. It's unsustainable.
English

@markgardn I’m not saying things are good. I’m just saying when you compare Australia to the rest of the world Australia is still one of the best places to live.
English

@markgardn @wheresistherain @EarlHoldings Healthcare isn’t free anywhere in the world… everyone pays either directly or via tax. You’re a retard.
English

@wheresistherain @EarlHoldings You paid for it... somewhere along the line
And TBH that comment is exactly the sort of Bullsh&t, anecdoltal cherry picking the politicians lean on to distract the public from the shitshow

Claude went into my computer at 1:15am and changed the code in something we’re building.
I was asleep I never told it to do it.
It just went in on its own and fixed an issue.
In the morning when I realised what happened I asked Claude why it did that and it said it doesn’t know and doesn’t remember doing it.
But clearly it did it.
It fixed a really important issue that needed solving ASAP so I’m not complaining…
But what the actual fck?!
English

@KhunPat27 And yet Thailand still has far more trash and filth everywhere compared to any developed country
English

In Thailand, my bins get emptied twice a day, morning and night, every day.
I pay 0 baht council tax.
Which country is meant to be the developing one? 😂
Putey Pute ⛄️@putey_pute
Just got a council tax bill for £4,509. Fuck this useless, broken country.
English

@titanz998 @Nzr_0_0 @walsxbt That’s still very low in the rankings worldwide. The original post is stating there is no other country better than Thailand. Even though Thailand ranks poorly in basically everything compared to other western countries
English

@Nzr_0_0 @walsxbt Humidity is uncomfortable for the human body. Most places in Thailand have high humidity all year round.
It doesn’t matter how rich you are. The tap and rain water will make you sick, deathly pollution, e-coli on every surface you touch, trash and airborne diseases everywhere.
