@planert41 It’s not uncommon, but if you’re feeling this way permanently, make sure it’s not something out of balance with your nutrition, blood levels, hormones, etc. Even with young kids, you shouldn’t feel fatigued and burnt out all the time. Maybe occasionally but not permanently.

Dads with young kids Is it normal to just feel tired and burnt out all the time? It’s like you don’t even really get the weekend to recover because it’s all just kid stuff the moment you wake up Arguably the only personal time you have is when they nap (and you’re already dead tired by that time) or the hour after they go to bed but before you pass out Just trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong

@uFfSTMYpxt62616 I think one way we actually begin to love our enemies more is to pray for them, and we begin to see them with more of the grace with which God sees them and we long for them to come to trust in him as well and receive mercy.

@Attackontitanl4 I grew up in the church so it was like a dim light gradually becoming brighter, and one day a school shooting in the news caused me to consider: what would happen to me if I were to die unexpectedly? I knew in that moment that I wanted to follow Jesus and go where he led me.

@CasaMonteverdi @TaglesTopGuy @jakedell73 As a father is commissioned to disciple his household, so is the church commissioned to make disciples of all nations. The church is not commissioned to socially engineer the world, but perhaps that’s where the misunderstanding lies, and you mean something different by that.

@AStev1689 @TaglesTopGuy @jakedell73 Maybe there’s a misunderstanding, is Christ the head of the household or is the husband? Or.. are both the head of the household in their own respective sense? See what I mean here?

Here's the thing about all those "recent Catholic converts" They keep showing up in my Protestant Reformed church 18-36 months after they’ve “come home to Rome” they’re in my office, at my Bible study, or meeting me for breakfast Asking me about the "bait and switch” They were promised unity, beauty, and unchanging doctrine They got a modernist, globalist institution instead, with a deeply anti-American agenda

@TaglesTopGuy @jakedell73 The problem is that globalism tends to inevitably turn into humanist social engineering. The global church of those in Christ has a global unity that transcends and is far superior to crude globalism.

@CrossKeyedGamer @VideoGameIX Yeah I loved that you got dropped into a world that didn’t actually care much about you or for you for most of the game, and even at the end, it’s ambiguous whether you were really fulfilling prophecy or whether it was all just coincidental. That was a cool writing twist.

@AStev1689 @VideoGameIX Skyrim was richer in that it was newer and more polished, but Morrowind had a more alien world, and stronger culture. The empire was getting a stronger foothold, a native religion with a rich history, natives HATED outlanders. Slavery. Great houses. And you had to pack in and out

@CrossKeyedGamer @VideoGameIX I loved Morrowind and its quests had an element of mystery and lovecraftian horror that Skyrim lacked but overall I felt like Skyrim was richer and more immersive. It felt more ‘lived in’ and it was easier for me to get lost in its world.

@VideoGameIX Wild to me how many people hold this game as the standard. Maybe because it dropped 15 years ago most modern gamers cant really remember a time beforehand. This was their 1st ES. Mine was Morrowind. It had something Skyrim couldnt capture, so felt a mile wide and an inch deep.

@ackronomy @haruna_in_1000 @JimboC199 @gripen_ng Conservative evangelical Christian here (Im sure some might even call me fanatical) but even in my circles, yeah, I’d guess flat-earth-ism is less than 1%. In my experience, it’s just general conspiracy theorists who are drawn to it, not Christians specifically.

@haruna_in_1000 @JimboC199 @gripen_ng There’s a lot of anti Christian propaganda I would say even 3% is too high there’s people online who like to troll but even most of them don’t actually believe it I would say less than 1.5% where I live and I live in a part of the us with very bad education.

@SubjMatterXpert @GameRant This list is no better and reads like it was made by a game historian, not an actual player. Other than Half-Life, none of those others, as historic and enjoyable as they were in their day, should be in consideration as “best of all time”.

Mostly slop, outside of MGS. 10 best games "of all time?" Super Mario Brothers 3 Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Metal Gear Solid Final Fantasy 7 Duke Nukem 3D Doom Soul Blade Half-Life Unreal Battletoads Not in that order, but it's a list that actually covers "the best games" that defined gaming after Pong.

Four humans are about to fall into a 10,000°C wall of plasma at 25,000 mph with a heat shield NASA knows is flawed. Tomorrow evening. Off the coast of San Diego. Orion hits the atmosphere at 36 times the speed of sound. The air can't move out of the way fast enough, so it compresses into a shockwave twice as hot as the surface of the Sun. The plasma ionizes the surrounding air and blocks all radio signals. For several minutes, the crew is falling faster than any humans have ever traveled inside a spacecraft, and nobody on the ground can talk to them. The heat shield is 186 blocks of a material called Avcoat glued to a titanium skeleton. It works by charring, melting, and disintegrating on purpose. The destruction of the outer layer is the cooling mechanism. There is no backup system. No redundancy. The heat shield works or the crew doesn't come home. The Artemis I heat shield came back with over 100 locations where chunks had ripped off. NASA spent two years figuring out why, concluded it was gas pressure building up inside the material during reentry, and decided not to replace the shield. They changed the flight path instead. Steeper angle, less time in the danger zone. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said publicly that this approach "is not the right way to do things long term." The capsule will slow from 25,000 mph to 17 mph in thirteen minutes. Parachutes don't even deploy until the last four. Everything before that is managed by a curved piece of titanium and glue entering air twice as hot as the Sun. Tomorrow at 5:07 PM Pacific, San Diego might hear a sonic boom. That sound is four people betting their lives on NASA's math being right.
Insider Paper@TheInsiderPaper

NEW: NASA says that people along the coast of San Diego County in California might hear a sonic boom Friday afternoon when the Orion capsule carrying the Artemis II crew re-enters the atmosphere, wrapping up its historic trip around the moon. The boom may be loud enough to rattle windows when the capsule re-enters the atmosphere shortly before 5 p.m, The San Diego Union-Tribune reports
