Our history matters. Now I’m going to talk about the Anglo Saxon invasion and why I feel there are parallels with what is happening today. The Saxons did not just show up in the 7th century and conquer the island of Britain. It was a slow takeover, beginning in the 5th Century when the British King Vortigan invited them over to help the Britons against the Picts and Scots. At first, everything was fine. But as time went on, the Saxons began to take over. They took territory. They multiplied. This was documented by the scholar Gildas the Wise who wrote about the devastation of Britain and how weak leadership after Roman withdrawal left a power vacuum in the island, one the Saxons eventually seized. Eventually, the Saxons overwhelmed the Britons who were either killed or driven into other areas of the country. So why am I writing about this now? Because history has a habit of repeating itself. We are witnessing the slow erosion of Britain’s society, an eradication of culture and heritage, the demonisation of this island, and all the while, people are coming into this country with their own belief systems, many of whom refuse to assimilate. Is this about skin colour? NO. This is not about skin colour and anyone who says it is is just as much a villain as those who come here the intention to cause harm. This is about values and a people, irrespective of skin colour, who are watching our culture and heritage being eroded and tainted by malevolent forces within and outside of Britain. Don’t let history repeat itself. Protect Britain, protect our values, drop the skin colour nonsense, and push back against the narrative. We keep history alive for a reason.
