Went to show my @AccessCard at the accessible gate and the man went "Put that away, I'm not here to interogate you, your word is good enough". I honestly struggled to not cry. With so much #DisabilityHate around atm, it was nice to just exist without trial

My Nimbus Card application saga continues. Now two and a half weeks in and @AccessCard have replied to an email to say they can’t find anything in my name. I’ve sent details and screenshot of application confirmation. The process continues to be miserably labyrinthine.

@AccessCard I have one but the card was a few years old. My circumstances changed dramatically and the card was no longer suitable. So was told to reapply. So I did. Then I get email saying you cancelled as I have a card. Card is absolutely useless. What a waste of my time.

@AccessCard how do I appeal the symbols on a card please. I've not been given the walking short distances symbol or the plus one despite it being part of my pip that I cannot walk the distances and I have a carer while out and about .

Yup i was disgusted when most theatres moved to it. I had disabled plus companion and while my pip did allow my access card to get that too the theatre wont give it anymore till ive paid for an access card. They womt give the plus one for the free version. So now on top of pip i have to apply to access card every 3 bloody years and pay £17 all to get my carer back. My enhanced pip was bad enough to send forms now im jumping hoops

So @AccessCard is refusing to give an ambulant wheelchair user with many conditions which affect their mobility the level access part of the card because the person doesn't have 12 points in PIP mobility and can't afford to get a medical practitioner to write a letter.

Disgrace! You broke the law you can not assume how my disability affects me or that persons. Just because we can transfer some days it does not mean all days. Nor does it mean we wish to. For example! If im at an arena i do not want to transfer to a chair because i cant stand to let every tom dick and harry pass me. Do you think i can levitate? Same at theatre. Ignorance amazes me at times. The other problem is i transfer then they all stand. I can see arses! How nice for me. So i choose to stay in my chair. Lastly. My chairs made for me, its my size height it supports my back which has spinal damage. A plastic arena chair cant. Id be in agony. Want me to go on? Can you not see how ignorant of disabled peoples needs your post was? And your meant to be the company supporting us. Bloody joke

@AccessCard @TheO2 We tried that and was told the only option was a detailed letter from the Dr who is taking forever and charges £30 for said letter. The DX letter of POTS was not enough apparently 😡

Yet more disability discrimination happening in the UK 😡 We can no longer attend concerts at @TheO2 without an @AccessCard Which requires PIP. My daughter is a wheelchair user but as yet doesn't get PIP. She cannot safely attend any events now and will risk her life if she does!
