BREAKING $AMD @Samsung Inked MoU🚀 Advanced Micro Devices ( @AMD ) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Electronics to expand their collaboration on AI memory and computing technologies, Samsung said Wednesday. The partnership will focus on supplying HBM4 memory for the AMD Instinct MI455X GPU, as well as advance DRAM for 6th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs. The companies will also work together on optimized DDR5 memory and explore potential manufacturing partnerships for future products, Samsung said.

BREAKING $AMD @Samsung HBM ✅ @AMD CEO Dr. @LisaSu Meets Samsung, Naver on HBM Supply Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, a competitor of NVIDIA, is reportedly visiting South Korea to discuss cooperation plans with Samsung Electronics, Naver, and other companies. According to the tech industry on the 11th, Su is expected to arrive in South Korea on the 18th. This will be her first visit to the country since taking office as CEO in 2014. She is known to meet with Lee Jae-yong, Samsung Electronics Chairman, Choi Soo-yeon, Naver CEO, and others. AMD is the world’s second-largest company in the AI accelerator market, following NVIDIA. While NVIDIA dominates the market, AMD has been securing major clients such as OpenAI and Meta to compete. Samsung Electronics is reportedly supplying a significant amount of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) to AMD. During this visit, Su is expected to discuss HBM and memory supply plans with Samsung Electronics. HBM is a core component of AI accelerators, and amid recent shortages of memory semiconductors like DRAM and NAND, big tech companies are aggressively securing HBM and memory chips. It is also observed that Su will discuss semiconductor supply for data centers with Naver.
