I believe we are approaching the “all at once” stage. People still fail to realize that the real use case for crypto is infrastructure, while many are still waiting for it to behave like pure software. Once banks have to compete with staking yields, the dynamic becomes self-reinforcing. If one major player adopts it, the rest will likely have no choice but to follow. And beyond yield, the advantages are obvious: faster settlement, stronger security, lower costs, and dramatically higher efficiency. With banks starting to move in and guidance from the CFTC and SEC becoming more constructive, the major liquidity pools are beginning to connect: retail capital, bank deposits, pension capital, and institutional money. New banks are emerging like Erebor focusing on consolidating crypto and banking into one ecosystem. Most people still view crypto through the lens of NFTs, memecoins, and speculative software. But quietly, behind the scenes, it has been maturing into infrastructure. Many are still waiting to see the flashy cars return to the highway, tokens, NFTs, speculation. What they are missing is that the real money is made by owning the highway, and by the thousands of boring cars driving on it every day: stablecoins, RWAs, and tokenization. This is ultimately about the settlement layer of the new financial age. And I believe the U.S. government wants to ensure the United States becomes a leader in this industry as it scales globally.

@BearOnWindows95 You have a serious mental issue, you make up so much stuff you must live in a world where you actually believe it then log off your computer and be extremely depressed. Scary.

I'm speaking on this as probably the only person that has been with Raen and now works for a real shop. There is a night and day difference between the two. Real prop you are on a $400k to $600k draw/salary + bonus, you are given a size-able DLL, and the only real rule you have to follow is - don’t absolutely nuke your DLL. Say your DLL is 30k, don’t lose 50k. At Raen you pass the PAID eval ( I didn’t have to do this since I was a beta tester), then you are essentially are trapped in Sim until you they deem you worthy of real $$. This can last MONTHS. So you need to be trading yet you aren’t getting paid so it’s what are you supposed to do? Go without income? There is no real goalpost at least when I was there. They are being careful with their money when it comes to handing over real risk to traders, which is understandable however speaking from the traders perspective, it’s pure hell. You have no clue when where you stand. As far as the internal stuff, IMO Raen was unprofessional and unserious. Maybe that’s due to the newness of the company I don’t know. I think the larger issue is almost no one there has real prop experience. As far as real prop, it’s the complete opposite. Everything is clearly defined, everyone is bought in, and there is a different level of somber intensity. I believe the premise of Raen bridging the gap between retail and institutional is a super solid idea however I’m not sure that gap can be filled. Does that void have to exist? Raens for profit application/eval is exactly that, for profit. They make money off of failed traders first. That is not debatable. It’s a fact. Real prop makes money off of you making money. They make money off successful traders. IMO Raen does significantly more harm than good. It gives false hope and has unrealistic expectations given the inadequate technological and general infrastructure of the company. Comparing the two is like comparing a goldfish and a whale. Sure they both live in the water but they are nothing alike. For the record, TT is arguably the worst futures/FX platform out there. Real shops are likely using proprietary platform.
Sam KB@sam_kb_

Raen bridges the gap between retail and institutional. Real capital, real support, top tier platforms like TT but accessible without a degree in economics, math, finance or a lengthy track record. Running an assessment is the only real way to do this for remote retail traders without the quals behind them. I think they have a unique offering that will bring more retail traders into the more serious side of the industry. Do I think the assessment be more lenient? Yeh probably, but it’s hard to talk badly of a firm that is clearly trying to bring something unique and lower barriers to entry.

On the investment side, I save each ticker I sell into a watchlist to be able to watch them, see where I made mistakes with the initial thesis and to make sure not to miss a second entry if I it provides me a compelling entry.
