I’ve finally quit my job, and now it’s the perfect time to dedicate myself fully to trading, both financially and healthily. As a full-time trader, risk management will be my top priority. I’ll strive to maintain discipline and avoid impulsive, random trades and overtrading. 🧘

Turn your volume up for this one. This is real audio from the S&P 500 futures pit at the CME during the Flash Crash of 2010. On May 6, 2010, markets were already having a rough day, down over 300 points on worries about the Greece debt crisis. Later, the bottom fell out. The Dow dropped another 600 points in about 5 minutes. Nearly 1,000 points gone on the day. About 9%, kaboom. Then 20 minutes later, most of it came right back. This clip never gets old.

$WNW sparks the SC cycle to come back with some more frequency? Looking to hold 11.50 till sub 4.00 area or see if this thing liquidates the entire move, what a ticker.

AI has killed retail trading, by making small caps more like large caps, originally blowing out short sellers, now humans have left and what's left is a few hopeful people picking up scraps and machines. In my opinion, this is not a market cycle, its the end of retail day trader.

I loved Alana. She clerked for one of my dear friends and she helped my clerks. One of the best floor stories is when she beat the bejesus out of a tough kid. The tough kid was a clerk for someone, he called her a C@&t, she snapped off a quick jab that set up the hook to the body,a quick upper cut on the chin followed by a straight right to the jaw. I was right in front of her and saw the whole thing. I was on pit committee, someone told me I had to write her up, I said I didn’t see shit and if persisted I would write him up. Lol. They had just put in state of the art camera system to help with out trades and other isssues. You had to have a legit reason to watch a tape. Alana’s recording of the trimming she dold out was the most watched film in CME history. The kid that caught the beating didnt hang around long. God rest your soul my sister. Jen and I love you and we keep your memory alive.

people love talking about trading rules. i say the new paradigm is "no rules, only tools." no stop loss is a tool. going all-in in one position is a tool. don't recommend either but they're in the bag for people who know what they're doing.

I really don't know how to get over this hurdle; any feed back would be greatly appreciated, can DM me or comment. Thank You. * * just entered drawdown for the first time this year and since I started to make real money in September 2025. i’m just getting worse- win rate has massively deteriorated (60% avg -> to 40% since February 16) execution has been poorer and poorer discipline has been less and less sizing has been super inconsistent haven’t been doing much trading work/ motivation to do so. i’m feeling burnt out everyday, wake up and im feeling super tilted even before executing. Cant do my weekly reviews, cant do weekly write ups/ top opps, cant do basic DRC's, cant look over my tape, cant do much productive focused work for long anymore. (i still do most of this but Its not with the same level of urgency/ genuine focus). i understand markets have changed but i honestly have a lot of decent trades in my playbook but the issue is losing a lot on meh trades and oversizing on really bad trades. The constant paper cuts and oversizing are killing me. i still have the occasional good trade which these end up being big wins but they end up getting washed out with the meh trades anyways. (for context my top 5 wins since Feb 16 = +30k! , im net negative 2k since then!!!!!!!) i havent felt this frustrated / demotivated since June 2025. i know sizing down is something obvious, and I tried that but didnt work as in im still equally as frustrated of losing $50 vs $2,000. taking a break for a week off of execution and only doing some write ups and stuff is an option im considering. taking complete time off like I did in December 2024 is another option I am seriously considering.

Why I like it, no huge R&D, fits a massive user base and can sell them soon as they get them, it takes a massive share away from Chromebook, thinkpads etc — taking something that already works great and spreading to masses, I see huge revenue boost from this, doesn’t need to be innovative imo haha

I’ve touched on this before, but I’m really shocked that even very well off, business savvy individuals have no idea about margin loans / portfolio loans. I have a friend with $5,000,000 in his stock portfolio. He was blown away when I told him he could use some of that money to invest in a business he is currently scaling, without selling his stock. I don't know why brokerages don't promote this stuff heavy for everyone with a portfolio to take advantage of. It’s rather simple. (Not financial advice.) His brokerage (Schwab, Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, etc.) will allow him to pull out as a loan up to 50% of what he has in there, and he pays a small interest rate on that loan. The stocks stay there, hopefully appreciating in value and he gets wired the loan amount. Meaning my friend can pull out $2,500,000 and pay 5% on that loan and use that $2,500,000 to do anything he wants with it. He can use it for something fun, or he can use it to make a larger return than the 5% and essentially arbitrage that rate. What I mean by that is... he takes a loan to himself at 5% and puts it in a deal that makes 10%… and like magic he just made 5% or $125,000. This is simple math as to not go over anyones head. Now, I would never recommend pulling out the full 50% because there are certain risks with it, like getting margin called (which is when your portfolio drops enough that the brokerage calls in the loan). But at 25% margin, you are much safer. Again (Not financial advice.) PS this also works if you have $10k in an account and need to pull out $2k to cover something. Works with $20k $100k, $100,000,000 ... It can be done on a small or giant scale.
