My insecurities don't want to post this, but my ambitions say I need to. apps.apple.com/us/app/whats-f… I genuinely love this app. I started on this project before AI and before these app types flooded the market. If you need a simplified way to save and share recipes, decide what to eat, simple grocery shopping with a click. This one is for you. I genuinely use it every day. But even if you don't let me know why and I will make it even better. This is why I am here. #buildinpublic #iosdev #indiedev #techtwitter

@mahmutaoata An open source Lottie preview tool is exactly the kind of thing that saves so much back-and-forth during development. Tired of exporting and re-running just to check an animation. Checking out the repo now.

I created a lightweight macOS app (free & open source ) that helps testing Lottie animation files: Read full article here #iOS #Swift #macOS: @mahmutaoata/run-lottie-on-macos-a-tiny-tool-that-saves-a-lot-of-time-5a843d7c1aef" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">medium.com/@mahmutaoata/r…

@Sujaltwt May 1st is a solid reset point. The break from exams probably helped more than you think. Consistency over motivation every single time. Get back to it.

@Jondevcodes Nothing beats that feeling. The longer it had you stuck, the sweeter it is when it finally clicks. What was the blocker?

@DIhnatovic45471 The home screen widget is such a big deal for daily engagement. Solo shipped updates hit different because every single line of that is yours. Nice work.

@azamsharp 3 years is commitment on another level. The fact that you stuck with it through all the SwiftUI changes over that time makes it even more impressive. Congrats on shipping it!

@chenzeling4 414 stars already says it all. That progressive blur scroll effect is one of those polish details that makes an app feel great vs just functional. Dropping this in today.

ProgressiveBlurHeader: Drop-in SwiftUI sticky header with progressive blur, like Apple Music/Photos. Content scrolls underneath with increasing blur, never clipped. One-line setup. Uses same private API Apple uses internally. Swift. 414 stars #SwiftUI #iOS

@Codelaby Had the exact same realization with KeyframeAnimator. AnimatableData gives you way more control but the setup is verbose. Worth it for complex sequences though. Keep going.

❌ KeyframeAnimator doesn't auto-reverse on trigger changes like I hoped. 🛠️ Pivoting to AnimatableData for more granular control. The quest for the perfect complex animation continues! #BuildInPublic #SwiftUI #Animation

@kpappworx The shake to reveal is such a nice touch. One of those interactions that feels obvious in hindsight but you know it took real thought to land on. What made you pick shake over just tap?

@devlyapp Building to scratch your own itch is the best motivation. Offline-first on iOS is way harder than it should be but when it works it's so satisfying. Congrats on shipping.

Was on a flight, wanted to track my route. Every app needed wifi or just went blank in airplane mode. So I spent 6 months building my own. Skylog is live. GPS journey tracker that works fully offline, even mid flight. #indiedev #buildinpublic #iOS

@azamsharp Been wanting to dig into server-side Swift since I'm linking a backend to my iOS app for the first time. Is Hummingbird a good entry point if I'm way more comfortable on the Swift side than server infrastructure?

@luffyselah The silent part is what gets you. I spent way too long chasing a leak that only showed up in Instruments after 10 minutes of very specific user interaction. Part 80 of 100 is wild dedication btw.

@radiofun8 That reveal transition is really clean. Did you use SwiftUI's `.colorEffect` modifier or go full Metal for the shader? Curious how you got it to track the touch position so smoothly.

@Linkwise_app What was the hardest part of the new UI to nail? Curious if the annotation layer caused any layout headaches in SwiftUI.

@SylvainLafranc I've been tracking feature ideas across my apps in just a notes file, which is embarrassing. Will check this out.

Fuck up story time: I’ve seen posts about this online, but never thought this would happen to me. I do backups frequently and could recover in a few minutes, but this is your reminder to always back up your project. #iosdev #claude #appdevelopment

@Inncoder_ Honestly the best apps come from exactly this. You start building something just because it looks cool, then the real idea hits you halfway through. Is it live on the App Store yet? The camera roll scanning angle sounds really clever.

Started building a dotmap of the world in #SwiftUI, because I thought it would look cool. Then it hit me: I could use my camera roll to populate it with every country I've been to A few weeks later it had turned into an app that scans your photos and dots your travels on the map

App Store boost? Dead. Last 3 days: $0 revenue on my health apps. April’s closing at ~$251 total. Brutal reality. 😵 New submissions in progress and then switching over to marketing across TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, X to rebuild traffic. #IndieHacker #BuildInPublic #iOSDev

@Said_Adam_ For me it's UI design. I can ship features all day but making something that looks professional and not generic is genuinely hard. The silence is real too. You just have to build through it anyway.

What is the hardest part of building something from scratch for you? For me right now it is the silence between sending a DM and getting a reply. That gap is where most people quit. I am not quitting in the gap. Drop yours below. I read every reply 👇 #BuildInPublic #Entrepreneur #Mindset
