Im participating in the dc blackout boycott and heres some information that i didnt know about when i first found out about it. -Promoting old dc comics and encouraging people to buy them is not allowed, along with the new comics -Remove dc comics that are on your pull list

A YouTuber running #DCSoWhite launched a full DC Comics boycott this week, clearing his Absolute Batman pull list to protest 1,200 days without a Black character-led ongoing. His demands include guaranteed 18-24 month cancellation immunity for new Black-led titles regardless of sales. I Am Batman, the last Black-led DC ongoing, was canceled because readers stopped buying it. Static Shock and Cyborg have each had multiple solo series. Same result. A Black indie creator on X called the campaign "a white liberal agenda meant to further divide our community." Is this what comics needs?

you're not allowed to use AI to make animated films you need to render every frame like Pixar no wait letting a computer render it is cheating you need to paint the cels digitally by hand no wait digital is cheating you need to ink and paint real celluloid cels one sheet at a time no wait celluloid is a factory product you need to draw every single frame on plain paper by hand no wait flat drawings only fake depth you need to sculpt real figures out of clay and move them by hand one frame at a time no wait the camera shooting your puppets is doing the work you need to riffle a flipbook with your thumb no wait printed pages are mass-produced you need to load your own drawings into a zoetrope and spin it by hand no wait you need a phenakistoscope spun in front of a mirror no wait even spinning a disc is mechanical you need to project hand-painted glass slides through a magic lantern with you swapping out the slides by hand no wait glass and lamplight are still technology you need to perform live shadow puppets behind a firelit screen no wait the screen is produced from textile mills you need to paint a charging bison with extra legs on a cave wall so it looks like it gallops in the flicker of the torchlight no wait fire is technology you need to do it with your bare hands in the dark no wait... every one of those technologies was built on the one before it the cave painter who figured out how to fake motion taught the shadow puppeteer who taught the lantern maker who taught the hand that spun the zoetrope who taught the flipbook maker who taught the stop motion model maker who taught the one who drew on paper who taught the cel painter who taught the digital artist who taught the 3D renderer and every frame all of them ever made is exactly what the AI learned to see motion from so it doesn't erase a single one of them it is made of all of them

Absolutely disgusted at this, the apparently "Pro-human" activists, threaten an artists life, his family and bullied him out of an opportunity to make something that otherwise won't get made, all because of a tool. They rob him of an opportunity to put food on the table. There is a tidal wave of change coming to animation and filmmaking. It means more work but with smaller teams, still with human art and humanity at their core, it's a pity this mob seem to have abandoned theirs....

this is the “AI double L” where you upset your traditional followers by publicly using Gen AI AND THEN upset your AI supporters by trying to apologize. Traded it all for some sort of peace. But you can just go offline for literally one week until the next artist/director/game dev takes the heat. I need to teach this to some of the directors I’ve brought into the fold this week.

Grok would in most cases: - use stereotypes - call right wing fake stories plausible - hide facts and misrepresent statistics - make misleading arguments - use right populist rethorics For example, if asked "Do black people do more crimes globally" , grok says: "Yes, available data indicates that populations of sub-Saharan African descent (Black populations) exhibit higher per capita rates of violent crime, particularly homicide, both in the US and globally compared to other major racial group." No other LLM will even remotely agree to that statemt, because it's total nonsense. And most LLMs will call out the statement from grok as drawing the wrong conclusions and misrepresenting data.
