No, thanks. Given the strict limits and moderation, I've decided to unsubscribe from Grok. After creating just five low-quality images, the system reported reaching the limit. I can't say I'm annoyed or angry, but paying $30 a month for the service and getting subpar results, while free resources offer much better results. @DodgeMeAgain @vsaravana92 @elonmusk @grok @xai Keep in mind, I am a retired hobbyist. And I've just started my own comic book universe. I finished an entire 80 page graphic novel with Mage.space only 22 days and I do a few short animations to promote each of my books.

@NoctalisUmbra @imagine Yeah, I too really liked the way grok. animated, my 2D comic art It's really a shame how they totally destroy its value and capabilities. But I honestly could not continue to pay the $30 a month and receive nothing but insulting frustration.

@AnabranQ @imagine I know there are a lot of alternatives. But I only do image-to-video, and so far Grok Imagine was the best for that (see my stuff). I already tried with other models but I'm very disappointed, it's not the same...

Grok @imagine is totally useless now... 😭😡 The limitations are insane (10 videos and that's it) and the result is always horrendous: not following prompt, bad quality, NO FACE CONSISTENCY which for my project is paramount, extremely outdated style... And since yesterday I can't even upload pics!!! I'm really devastated.... 😭 Grok Imagine was so perfect for Noctalis... Now I'm trying alternatives but the result is disappointing, and looks very different. I don't know what I'm gonna do... 😭😭😭 #Grok #GrokImagine

@virtualfilmer @MR3Dev I don't care much for that AI look for the 3D/Live action stuff, but I really love how AI does to 2D animation work.

@MR3Dev @AnabranQ I think plenty of people like the “ai look” - and as long as you’re going for that look it can work well

For the past month I've been testing a lot of AI tools. From 2D, to 3D to video. My conclusion so far is at least right now most of them are useless beyond making a funny meme for social media. People say AI will revolutionize game dev. Maybe in coding which is not my area and I can't speak for that, but in art, its not doing anything. For Concept Art it can do decent but still far from professional work. For 3D, most apps still can't get a usable mesh that is more complicated than a tea pot. For animation. Still not there, Cascadeur is the closes we have to using AI for animation and even still needs some correction. Maybe to generate ideas for the pitches to the CEO? that could be a use.

@MR3Dev @virtualfilmer I was only using grok for short promo animations of my comic panels that I create over at Mage.space but they crippled that as well, So I had to dump grok

@AnabranQ @virtualfilmer On that I can agree, out of all the AI image gen Grok is by far the worst

@MR3Dev My goal is to make escapist stories for lay people like the guy who wrote this review on my first AI assistant graphic novel . And with AI I have a multitude of art styles to choose from.

@AnabranQ I already see the issues in that comparison picture. If it works for you, cool.

@MR3Dev @virtualfilmer I'm perfectly fine with lesser higher quality choices. Then a 1000 choices of questionable quality like grok, for example, quality was decent until they gutted its capabilities.but I already had an alternative that I was paying for anyway.

@virtualfilmer @AnabranQ Oh yeah I don't think the tools are going away once the bubble pops, we would just have 3 choices instead 20

@MR3Dev Again, respectfully, I think anybody who actually watched invincible season 4 would disagree with your somewhat charitable assessment of the artwork. My graphic novel images have more layers of DETAIL contour Shading and thicker ink lines than the Amazon show.

@AnabranQ If you were going for that Invincible season 4 art style you nailed it.

@_cgman_ I would be interested in hearing some examples of some optimization or workflows in ( default vanilla blender with no add-ons ) that is absolutely not possible in Maya C4D or Houdini. FYI i was a blender user from versions. 2.8 up to 4.1 until they ruined EEVEE.

@AnabranQ Actually agree with this, but not how the final results is not capable in Blender, more like optimization features and some of the workflow that is not in industry standard softwares

For people who said Blender can't do realism, where's your mind?!

@_cgman_ Well, I could show you a Maya or Houdini video doing the aforementioned cloth&hair effects? If you like, but that still would not change. The fact that blender is far from being proficient at these tasks. So blender does have a problem with realism outside of hard surface models
