Note to all: Gushing Post Alert! Can we all take a moment to appreciate our very own Car Twitter legend @AutoPap (aka Shami Kalra)? Not only has he somehow managed to avoid being sued by every major watch manufacturer for daring to sponsor motor racing events, but today he's pulled off a miracle to rival the loaves and fishes: an incredible sponsorship deal that sees his brand emblazoned on the Pole Position car at Le Mans!!! To top it all off, he's quite a nice guy too. Amazing work Shami - we're all very proud of what you are achieving! Onwards and upwards!

@AutoPap What’s the ride like in the Octa?

Almost 14k miles now done in the OCTA. Imagine being able to take the whole family out in a GT3. That's how it drives. My 4th Defender. All of them have been bullet proof.

@LUDENClassics @guserlandson The ride was harsh and the interior so cramped the kids hated it. Also gearbox took what felt like an age to change gear. Quality of materials was poor IMO too

@AutoPap @guserlandson What was it that you didn't like? In 2010 that would have been an early pre facelift model, rather than an S or AMR

I'm not completely sure, but I think one of these would just about beat a Project 8 or M5 CS for the ultimate modern super saloon

@AutoPap I know you have a lot of experience with Porsches and Land Rovers, I’m sure the OCTA is brilliant, but saying it drives like a GT3 is a bit like saying a rhinoceros corners like a cheetah😅
