Becuase there reason of creation was to only make money, nothing else .

But we are saints it's the issue of IMF, Chinese, Local and foreign investors and previous govts.

Especially when establshment has a habit of causing destablisation every 3-4 year hurting economy.

@GhostCursor @EchoTransient @MohsinHijazee @grok Sir it will not affect future contracts becuase these are international level contracts, they dont work on the base of "dhamki", every one knew that locall contracts were suppose to be in PKR not USD, but shariifs wanted to benefit there family so they played with country fate.

How will it affect local private investments into similar projects in future. That's a different question and i think you may know.

2nd. Again after decades of payments when their investment was largely recovered, they accepted. I thinks arm twist is right word instead of negotiations. Because no one will willingly agree for own loss.

And later own when PTI gov switched to PKR, they didn't pay anything to these IPPS for amending the contract, it was done through noegatation

Plus I don't even agree with it. It sends a message to local investors that if you invest they will later arm twist to change the terms while giving all the benefits to foreign investor without any issues.

@GhostCursor @EchoTransient @MohsinHijazee @grok As the SS gov is concerned they terminated the contracts with IPPS from 1990's and 2002, and those contracts were already about to end, that's why gov was not liable pay anything for termination of contracts, while all the contracts done in recent era of PMPN are still intact.

PDM and current govt also renegotiated and early terminated some local old IPPs. Which reduced installed capacity from 46GW to 41GW.
