@Back2Crypto_42 No, I have never said that decentralization is more important than privacy. Cardano is well decentralized. The question is whether we need to invest in 3-4 alt nodes or rather in privacy features.

Midnight hasn’t even launched yet. Yet the team achieved significant success. Monument Bank will tokenize retail customer deposits. In the first phase, ~335m USD will be tokenized. That’s significantly more than the value of all stablecoins on Cardano combined. If there are more phases, Midnight can quickly be in the top 10 in the RWA sector. Allegedly, this success is only possible thanks to privacy. What does Cardano need to achieve similar successes? Cardano has been built as a decentralized social and financial computer for about a decade, and we are still waiting for such achievements. If privacy turns out to be a necessary prerequisite for success, we need to have it in Cardano, too. Midnight is presented as a fourth-generation blockchain. Cardano must not be left behind technologically. We need to innovate in the right places. We need to start asking important questions. Like, what is a higher priority, decentralization or privacy? Maybe it’s about the Midnight team’s ability to communicate more effectively and promote their solution to banks and institutions. Who is doing this for Cardano? To what extent will Cardano benefit from Midnight’s successes? How much will these ecosystems remain interconnected? I have more questions than answers. Anyway, congratulations to the Midnight team. This is truly remarkable.

Apart from DeFi, what can I use it for? No offense, but if “using” it means losing money on fees and taxes, I’ll pass. I had to sell most of mine in 2023–2024 to pay taxes, just from swapping tokens and NFTs that later lost their value. The only NFT I have on Cardano that hasn’t lost value and is liquid enough is the EarthNode NFT. Sorry, but this is the uncomfortable reality that we live in. Unless there is real utility created on chain and tied to the real world revenue I won’t invest in it anymore.

Use the chain. Make Cardano better 💙

The revised market structure bill won't allow yield on stablecoins (non-active). Looks like a massive win for banks. On the flip side, kind of bullish for crypto because capital will have more reason to move into yield-bearing alternatives like Ethereum Defi or Cardano liquid staking.

The main question on Cardano right now isn't that we have USDCx, it's how are we going to increase the liquidity for the USDCx / ADA pair, because currently everything is routing through NIGHT / USDCx. No matter what anybody says this is a genuine adoption concern. Open to ideas on how this can be improved, I want to see deeper liquidity than USDCx / NIGHT, to put it bluntly and be straight to the point.
