@BeavsOfSoCal @georgewrighster I just don’t like that it puts schools in a no-win situation. I’m imagining a school complying to keep funding, then losing a class action lawsuit from athletes. I really don’t get why this hasn’t gone through the legislature already by this point.

@georgewrighster Did you miss the EOs signed last year against private universities that leveraged federal funding? All cases of private institutions lost and capitulated to the demands to reinstate federal funding... now think public institutions that don't have that money Yes this has teeth

Saw Super Mario Galaxy with the family last night. Could not agree more with a review I recently saw— 6/10 as a movie in general, but 10/10 as a kids/family movie. Fun, mindless entertainment, that my kids ALL loved (pre-school through teen). Lots of belly laughing.

@marcminter @GigWorthy01 It would be interesting to see demographics of that 9%. I live in Utah where churches of my basic core values and theology are few and far between. Add that I am rural, and there is one option 30 minutes away, and a handful more 45 minutes.

Today, eight of the nine justices rejected culture war. They applied the First Amendment without fear or favor. Eight of the nine justices understood that a government power used to help "your side" today can be used to hurt "your side" tomorrow. Eight of the nine got that, in a First Amendment case, it's important to picture a *mirror image* law, and see what you think of it. The ninth justice is playing some other game.

I’m very confused about the number of people who think “property tax” is a sales tax on you home rather than taxes to pay for public services you use every day. “I paid off my home why do i still pay property taxes?!?!?” Oh, did you also stop using the roads and libraries and sidewalks and parks? Why don't airlines incentivize checked bags? I would gladly check a bag, but it costs $35 each way. Then I get to the plane and they tell me I have to check my bag because there's not enough room for all the carry-ons. Make a checked bag free - like it used to be - so I can overpack again. I don't mind waiting at baggage claim if I can bring a few more pairs of shoes.
