It is profoundly worrying that the mayor of a municipality cannot get an answer from BC Hydro about when his town will have electricity restored and so has to issue a community-wide alert based on rumours.

@ty_olsen Do you know if this average includes when communities where evacuated due to wildfire. May be artificially inflating some numbers where a town lost power intentionally for a few days

On this day in 2017, Stuart McLean died. A humorist and author, he is best known as the host of The Vinyl Cafe. Described as a story-telling comic, he hosted The Vinyl Cafe from 1994 to 2015. For his work, McLean won two Stephen Leacock Awards & earned the Order of Canada.

@CraigBaird For me the key is the ratio of ingredients. A healthy portion of cheese creates the proper base for the pineapple to do its magic with those little notes of acidic sweetness.
