17-Year-Old Boy D+es in EFCC Raid in Benue as Mother Says Son Was Not a Fra¥dster and Demands Justice Controversy has continued to surround the de@th of 17-year-old Sesugh Atser in Makurdi, Benue State, following an encounter involving operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), with his family demanding justice and a full explanation of what led to his de@th. His mother, Jennifer Asar, a petty trader and single parent of five, said she has been devastated since receiving news of her son’s de@th, adding that she has not been able to see his body. She described him as a hardworking and intelligent boy who had struggled to continue his education due to financial hardship and had recently secured a chance to resume school. She alleged that her son was previously arrested by the EFCC, released, but asked to pay ₦100,000 to retrieve his phone. According to her, she was later informed that he was sh%t de@d and insisted he was not a fra¥dster or c¥ltist. A relative, Philip Udo, said the family was told by the EFCC that Sesugh and two others escaped from custody during a rainstorm and were later traced to a hideout in Makurdi, where an exchange of g¥nfire allegedly occurred after the suspects reportedly opened fire on operatives. He added that residents disputed claims of a g¥n battle. A school proprietress who had offered the teenager admission described him as diligent and eager to learn, noting that his mother planned to pay school fees in instalments. While the EFCC has not issued a formal statement, an anonymous official said he was an escapee and that it could not be confirmed whose b¥llet k+lled him. The Benue State Police Command also described him as a fugitive and said he d+ed after being found inj¥red during an operation, adding that investigations are ongoing. With conflicting accounts from the family, EFCC, police, and witnesses, the incident has sparked public concern and renewed calls for a transparent and independent investigation.

For all of you saying the video was doctored with VDM's face. My own is that even if the video is AI generated what stops him VDM from debunking it and letting the general public know it's fake 🤥 Instead he went on camera to start to abusing everybody and even called Mr Bayo Onuaga President Spokesman stuupit, that's too far fr. Yet he didn't say anything about the video wether he did it or not. He has crossed his line it's time for him to face the law

There is no amount of damage control VDM can do at this point; he must face the full weight and consequences of the law. As a celebrity and self-acclaimed social media activist, he should understand that activism is not a license for recklessness, lawlessness or endangering national security. There are boundaries that must never be crossed, regardless of clout, popularity or social media influence. Publishing and circulating a voice note alleged to be a private phone conversation involving Mr.President is an extremely grave security offense arguably even more sensitive and dangerous than the issues surrounding El-Rufai. Matters relating to the President’s communication and national security are not things any individual should trivialize for content, attention or online engagement. Sadly, VeryDarkmam has gradually transformed what many once considered activism into outright stupidity, unnecessary provocation and a reckless display of irresponsibility. Activism should be about accountability, truth and societal improvement not sensationalism, harassment or conduct capable of threatening state security. The @OfficialDSSNG should move swiftly and decisively on this matter in order to prevent any further threat to national security. Issues involving sensitive communications linked to the Presidency should never be treated with levity, as silence or delayed action could encourage more reckless acts capable of undermining the nation’s security and stability. Call Me Bayo Onanuga whatever names you like, it still won’t change the fact that both your parents combined can’t match his standards.

MESSAGE BY THE FIRST LADY OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, HER EXCELLENCY, SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU, CON, ON CHILDREN’S DAY 2026 (WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 2026). As we celebrate this year’s Children’s Day, I extend my well wishes and heartfelt love to every child across our great nation. This year’s theme, “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” reminds us that the future we desire for our children must begin today. Our children are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are active participants in shaping our present. My message to children on this special day is to take ownership of today in a responsible and purposeful manner. The future you desire is shaped by the choices you make now. It is important to stay focused, make wise decisions, and use your time productively. A brighter tomorrow cannot be achieved by pursuing destructive or unrealistic paths, but by building your character, discipline, and a commitment to learning and growth. Happy Children’s Day to all our wonderful children! 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐛𝐮, 𝐂𝐎𝐍⁣ 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚

This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tinubu. This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform.
Aneex 🌍@pious_minister

How do you really convince someone who has already decided and believes in their mind that this is actually Asiwaju’s voice? What kind of cheap propaganda is this? VDM knows that Ibos are highly emotional people, and that’s why he enjoys riding on their emotions.

STATEHOUSE STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S STATEMENT ON CHILDREN'S DAY AND OUR CHILDREN IN CAPTIVITY On this Children’s Day, I celebrate every Nigerian child. I celebrate the child who is excelling in school. I celebrate the child who is learning a trade. I celebrate the child living with disability and still pressing forward with courage. I celebrate the child who has lost much but has not lost hope. Today belongs to you. It is a day to celebrate your innocence, your strength, your creativity, your aspirations, and the immeasurable value you bring to our nation. You are the pride of our Republic, the custodians of tomorrow’s promise, and the living reminder that we can shape the future of Nigeria by the opportunities we create for our children today. The theme for this year’s celebration, “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” speaks powerfully to the soul of our national conscience. It reminds us that the future is not a distant promise; it is already here. As we mark this special day, which coincides with Eid-el-Kabir, some Nigerian children and their teachers in Oyo and Borno should be with their families, but are being held captive by criminals. Some children have been forced into fear. Some parents cannot join today’s celebration because their hearts are set on one prayer: ‘Bring our children home.’ To those children, their parents, and their teachers, I say this as a father and your President: you are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. To the families grieving and despondent, your government will not turn your pain into ceremony. We will continue to work until children taken from their homes, schools and communities are returned safely, and until those who profit from this cruelty are brought to justice. I have directed all relevant security agencies to sustain and intensify coordinated rescue operations for abducted children and other vulnerable citizens across the country. These operations must be intelligence-led, carefully executed and focused on the safe recovery of our children. I have also directed the strengthening of school protection measures in high-risk areas. This will include updated school vulnerability mapping, closer coordination between state governments and security commands, rapid response links between schools and local security units, and stronger community-based early warning systems. The Federal Ministry of Education, working with state governments, is to deepen the implementation of the Safe Schools framework with clear reporting, clear responsibility and clear timelines. Every school in a vulnerable area must know who to call, what to do, where to move, and how to protect children when danger is identified. We will also improve support for children who have survived abduction, violence and displacement. Rescue is not the end of the government’s duty. A child who returns from trauma must return to care, medical attention, counselling, education and dignity. I have directed the relevant ministries and agencies to ensure that recovered children receive proper reintegration support, not temporary attention. Let me also state that protecting children cannot be left solely to the government. Parents, teachers, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders, youth groups, transport unions, local vigilantes and the media all have a role to play. When a community sees strange movement around a school and keeps quiet, a child is placed at risk. When warning signs are ignored, families suffer. When information is shared quickly and responsibly, lives can be saved. This is why we will continue to strengthen the link between communities and security agencies. The fight to protect children must begin before an attack happens, not after one has already occurred. My administration remains committed to a Nigeria where every child can learn safely, grow in good health, eat well, access opportunity and dream without fear. We are investing in education, health care, nutrition, social protection, digital skills and safer communities because childhood must not be a privilege reserved for a few. It is the right of every Nigerian child. To our children, you matter—your dreams matter; your safety matters. Your education matters. Be assured that your future matters to this government and to this nation, and we will safeguard it.
