I have learned from Prof. Muganga that our education is letting efforts for national and glable development. That reforms in the education systems and structure can, in a long run, stir the nation into the race of unstoppable development. I would encourage the marketing team of the University to promote open lectures inviting the public for topical discussions. Thats how i managed to listen to him and many other presenters.

@crescentk2 @benmwine @UNOC_UG We are a sovereign state, isn't it? We are a Republic, isn't it? Then we dont need to refer to any country we can set our standards. That being said government can do better by subsidising fuel and exemption from taxes. Fuel fuels national growth and different in all aspects

@benmwine @UNOC_UG Actually they are not doing enough fuel should be free, electricity, water and healthcare should be absolutely free.

@benmwine @UNOC_UG Whoever defined the roles of government to you needs to refund your money. Looks like you don't understand that government has a primaries responsibility of protecting her citizens. Thats why we give them our money (taxes) and legitimacy.

@TonyNatif I have a feeling that some contentious verdicts are reached in such tours/outings.

@pwatchug This is a good step in the right direction. Cutting on taxes slowly. An economy does not grow from taxing low income earners

Minister Musasizi also clarified that unlike media reports that had earlier indicated that the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) rate was slated to increase from 15% to 40%, he described these reports as false but instead said that the new proposals on PAYE are instead going to cost Government UGX96 Billion after the threshold is increased from UGX235,000 that is the current band for anyone to pay PAYE to now UGX335,000, since those earning below UGX335,000 won’t pay PAYE. 📸@Parliament_Ug

“We have been gradually enhancing salaries of other staff, Government have been enhanced, the assistant commissioners have been enhanced, and next year we are going to enhance the principals, and the other year we shall go to the officers until when we get to the lowest level," Musasizi said. "And when I mention commissioners, even the chief administrative officers in districts are at the level of commissioners. They are now earning UGX12 Million. They have moved from the previous UGX1.8 Million to now UGX12 Million.” 📸@Parliament_Ug

@DailyMonitor Perhaps the answer could be in the question. We are advised to let go of somethings in life but when it comes to marriage our society keep a deaf ear. We should learn to apply principles without double standards
