The @ocdsb tried to charge me $44,688 to obtain DEI related professional development materials. At most, other boards charged < $2,000 for the same request. Of course I appealed. But the regulator's intervention only brought down the cost to $30,870. First of all, why isn't public school teacher training available for all to see as standard? And secondly, how is it acceptable for publicly funded bodies to charge taxpayers fees to access information about things they already pay for?

There’s nothing unethical about retrading. A buyer offering a price with a DD period makes zero promises that they’ll close at that price. If they wake up one morning deciding they no longer want the deal or want it for cheaper, that’s 100% their right to do and if it’s not granted, they can then choose to move forward or get a refund of their EM.

Fixer upper gets listed for $250k. I offer $180k with 3% commission — I’m a licensed agent and my company is the buyer. Plan is to wholesale it for $190k. Needs $75k in work and will be worth $320k after repairs. Listing agent says too low. 4 weeks later our CRM notifies me the list price dropped to $225k. I follow up. Agent still says $180k is too low. Another month goes by. CRM notifies me again — price drops to $210k. I follow up. Agent says they think it’ll work. I draft the offer, send it over, and it gets accepted. We price the deal at $190k and sell it — signed contract and EMD in hand. While we’re still in DD, I tell the agent my buyer needs a $20k price reduction to move forward, but they’re ready to wire EM and waive the rest of DD. Seller meets us halfway. Price drops to $170k. We make $25k. That’s the exact play we run wholesaling MLS properties.

Canadian teachers are attending a course on using education for “revolutionary social transformation” at Concordia University. The RECESS “Education & Revolution” course teaches pedagogy from Cuba, Soviet Union (including OGPU/NKVD labour communes), Tanzania & Iran — while real working teachers and student teachers are in the audience. “Revolutionary consciousness” = modern “critical consciousness” (Paulo Freire) now embedded in CRRP programs across Canadian schools. open.substack.com/pub/junonews/p…

I keep seeing posts about $32 being the key level for people to exercise the warrants. Like $1.9 billion will just magically arrive for GME Being this far out from October, wont most people wait until $35+ to exercise to also cover the cost of the warrant that would dissappear?

@junonewscom They mix these trade programs with pushing "equity". They force feed uninterested and unsuitable people into programs which leads to high drop out rates. All the money gets spent focusing on race and gender programs built by 26 year old university grads who cant hammer a nail

Four years ago I launched may campaign for School Trustee in Ottawa (OCDSB) against progressive activist Lyra Evans. I became the most hated political candidate online in all of Ontario. (according to the Samara Centre for Democracy) I wasn't alone. A few brave people across the province stepped up in parallel, running shoestring campaigns on an intuition something was deeply wrong in public education, faced massive backlash.
