I am amazed when I review sell-side materials (i.e., website, deck, etc), how I struggle to understand what their company does or what they are trying to accomplish. I cannot get past this.

Look, it sounds obvious, but MOST business problems are solved with more sales. I'm amazed at how many businesses have weak or zero outbound sales efforts whatsoever. It's always the classic "we've never needed it before, we do just fine with word of mouth."
